Like when 2 loss LSU made the title game? A loss COULD end your title hopes in football, but how many times have undefeated teams met for the BCS title since the move to that system? Being undefeated is not a requirement...

 

2 loss LSU is an exception just like there have been exceptions in basketball. Being undefeated is not a requirement, although being undefeated also doesn't guarantee you get in. Having to go 12-1 at least is a requirement (sans LSU).

 

Both sports require you to be very good and also both require some luck/help along the way.

Whoaaaaa the BCS is perfect? How is the selection committee in basketball though? Neither system is perfect although the basketball one is definitely better. You could argue that makes it harder for a football team though being that computers can control their destiny. USC slips up once in a year and is done.
