:confused:Is there any truth that a pre-season All State Baseball player has quit the Trinity Baseball Team. I also heard that another senior is planning on quitting both of these are starters. Does anyone know anything about these issues.

One senior starter took a few days off to think about his future and decided to continue his senior season...yes he was pre-season all state...that is all that has happened regarding the team other than every time Corey Littrell is pitching a lot of guys show up to watch him. The kid is very special...low first round or top second round...but probably will go to UK. Yesterday was consistently 88-89...with movement.

What does that mean "Took a few days off to think about his future?" Sounds to me like a guy that quit and was talked into staying. If its the same guy I have heard about in the past he has mumbled about quitting alot in the past and is prone to being lazy and spending more time partying than practicing. I thought Trinity was a program that was above that.

I don't have a dog in this fight. Don't know the young man or anything about his situation. But if you are the so-called star, what does this tell the rest of the team? That a guy thinks more about himself than his teammates? Ok, so maybe he came back to the team. What does he do when something again doesn't go his way, quit again? I've been down this road with my son's H.S. football team. Kids quitting in the middle of a season, quitting right before a playoff game, quitting because the coach got on 'em. I'll tell you what my son told me, he'd rather loose every game with guys that show up for every practice, get behind their teammates and give 110%. More often than not, once a quitter, always a quitter.

Are you serious. Is he that good? Sorry, I have never heard of the kid but it sounds like I will this yr. Wow! If he is a low 1st rounder and is passing up the bigs for KY then I think that is a big mistake. Good luck to the young man. :thumb:

If you have not heard of Corey Littrell then you probably don't follow Kentucky High School baseball very closely.

I am glad I dont have to make that decision...nice money to say the least...throwing left handed and with the ability to throw in the low 90's with movement and 3 pitches for strikes...fun to see from the bleachers. Trinity has its own baseball website that shows their schedule...trinityrocksbaseball.com...another kid also a left hander named Fuchs can throw well also. Both are pitchers and not just throwers. I was behind the Angels scout at a scrimmage and watching the gun...fastball 89-90 and change up around 79 ish. He can get it to 92-93 when he wants. I dont know what part of the state you live in but would be worth the money to come watch him play.

No..it is not Corey...it is an outfielder that had a hamstring problem....and he really didnt know if he wanted to play...he took a few days off and decided that he did. I dont know if that was the reason or not( hamstring) but I quit trying to figure out 18 year olds a while ago. I got one...I know...he he.:idunno:

I will check out their schedule and try to catch him throwing. Sounds like a stud. Those kids are really fun to watch especially at the hs level. There is no way though that he passes up millions to go to KY. He can always go to college but he cant always be healthy, young and in demand. Good luck to him this yr. :thumb:

Doesn't MLB have a policy that if a kid does not sign right out of high school, he has to wait until after his junior year in college? It seems like I heard this somewhere.

Uhm, I asked that same question a few wks back and that is not exactly true according to a former college baseball player I was talking to. I am too dumb to remember what he told me but perhaps someone else can shed some light on the rule. If that is the case, even more reason to enter the draft and sign out of hs is the opportunity is right. No guarantees in life, live for the moment.
