9th Region

Featured Replies

Who will be the top returning players in the 9th region next year?

Ryle: Stauffer

Conner: Flesch, Hodges, Robinson

Boone: Montgomery, Brown

Holmes: Rice

Holy Cross: Burger

Dixie: Pike, Hatton, Trammel

Cooper: Bradley

Highlands: Stewart

Covcath: Thelen

Newcath: Giesler

Well if you want to go by some of the underclassmen that made the Coaches All-Region team, Donnie Cheetum (sp?) should be solid for Lloyd. Really goes under the radar playing at a smaller school.

LLoyd - Cheatum, Asher, McCaster

Beechwood - Cruse, Nuessbaum

IMO A good place to start this list is with the Juniors voted to the Northern Kentucky Coaches Association All Star Team!

Ryle: Stauffer All Star voted by the coaches

Covcath: Thelen All Star voted by the coahes

Newcath: Giesler ALL Star voted by the coaches

Lloyd: Cheatum ALL Star voted by the coaches

Beechwood: Fangman All Star voted by the coaches

Conner: Flesh, Hodges, Robinson

Boone: Montgomery, Brown

Holmes: Rice

Jake Burger from Holy Cross was also voted to this All Star team and if I am not mistaken was the only sophomore represented.

I agree Cheatum should be on this list! Coaches All-Region team there were only 5 Juniors and 1 Sophomore voted to it from the 9th region. Any list should start with those 6 players.

Yes, sorry I was thinking of the Juniors only!

I think Jake Giesler of NCC will be the best player in the 9th region next year.

If he can play all year w/ the intensity he had against Boone in the regionals, I would say that he will be tough to beat out. Additionally, w/ a young team, he'll be the focal point of the offense, so he'll have the opportunity to put up close to 20+ and 10+. If he can get NewCath into the second round of the regionals, I would say that he would be the heavy favorite.

I think Thelen and Giesler would be the early favorites for top player in the Ninth Region next year and Stauffer would also have to be in the picture.

The 9th loses alot of experience this year. It should open the for alot of players next year.

Add Chris Hayes of Holmes to the list. He'll be one of the better guards in the area next year as a senior.

I also like Hayes from Holmes but I like Mcclendon to.I know he's young but i think he will be one of the better guards next year.
