I am not sure seeding would be the best for this district. IMO, the 2 bests teams this season are advancing. Mason Co. is pretty much going to be the big dog every year and the other 3 hope they can draw opposite of MC in the district to have a chance to get to the Regional.

Mason County is probably not crazy about playing 6 games every year against Augusta, Bracken County and St. Patrick. And most times, Augusta, Bracken County and St. Patrick would rather take their chances with a draw (there's a 2/3 chance that any one of the three won't draw the big blue straw).

Yes playing those 3 as a rule is not going to help MC at all. Some districts benefit by the draw and the 39th is one of those, IMO.

By the way, congrats to the Royals and the coaching staff. We were in Georgetown yesterday for senior night so didn't make the trip to Brooksville.

The way I look at it, is as long as you are not last you would play them. I kind of forgot about Mason not wanting to play them. Playing twice for seeding sometimes makes for some ugly regular season matchups.

How do you seed with this scenario. This is a serious question because I don'y know how they determine it when the three teams would all have the same records 1 win and 2 losses.

Bracken beats Augusta

Augusta beats St Pat

St Pat beats Bracken

63rd was kind of similar, as Lewis, Greenup and Russell were 4-2 and Raceland was 0-6. A lot of different ways are possible, but basically that is something they decide on after they vote to seed. As long as it is in writing the KHSAA usually does not care how they vote to do it.

They do it in the 40th district and only play each other once. Clark and Montgomery play each other twice but one of those games is designated a seed game.
