I don't know much about NASCAR; I always thought the Nationwide series was the "minor leagues." Is that an over-simplification?

He needs to drive the nationwide series so he can actually get experience. He needs practice.

For some reason this is old news to me. But Hendrick makes money off his name he just needs him to do okay.

Nationwide series is lighter cars with less horsepower. Because of sponsorship some of the Sprint Cup series drives in that league as well. It is used to develop younger drivers but is still the second most popular racing league in the states.
