And you don't think that Boone, Holmes, Mason County, Scott, Scott County have learned who to stop, and they are better teams to boot. Basic coaching to try to stop a guy averaging 20 per game? Of course he's not getting as many shots as from lesser opponents in the beginning of the year.

You're inaccurate and should do the math like I did before you make such statements. Last 5 games: Madison - 11, SK - 17, MC - 6, Dixie - 18 and HC - 7, that comes out to 12 shots per game. The previous 5 before that: Scott - 14, Boone - 4, Dunbar - 21, Scott County - 11 and Western - 15 and that comes out to 13 per game. Not a big drop off. Lets go one more the last 5 before that: Montgomery - 12, NCC - 9, Holmes - 15, Beechwood - 17 and Highlands - 14 and that coms out to 13 per game. So you make a statement that he usually gets 15 - 20 shots and that has only happened 6 times in the last 15 games. He's taken almost 400 shots compared to the next closes Wellbrock who has about 1/2 that. Jake is a great player. This offense revolves around him, always has and always will.

Do you have a supporting stat on touches? How often is he getting the touch and not getting off the shot as he was?

As I stated there has been stuff going on in the locker room, coaches office, etc. Enough on this subject, let's just hope they can get by the Indians tonight and get to the Region!

So, are you saying they have better coaching as well?

Jake had been getting many more shot attempts than he has been. He had been getting 15 - 20 shots every game. Maybe it is partially due to defense, but that is not entirely true. There have been many occasions that Jake has had the position and the guys have not been getting the ball to him. Surely being as close to the program as you are, you have been hearing the talking that has been going on. Believe me - there has been a change in focus. If not, PM me and I will send to you.

Oh and 14 of CCH's games Jake has failed to take 15-20 shots. He did not get over 14 until the 5th game of the year. Let me do my Holy Cross math here............the first 4 fames of the year.......if I round up.........comes up to 12 shots per game! Amazing, the same number of shots he's averaging the last 10 games. My, my, my how the numbers don't lie.

Ok, now please use your HC math and calculate touches per minute played and then we can really see - right?

Some teams do, but I said basic coaching can figure out a way to stop the main guy. Considering CovCath has only been upset in one game this year, I'd say Coach L is holding his own.

I will take cov cath in a close one 54-49

So, our coaches are not making adjustments to figure out a way to get past the basic coaching being thrown at them?? How many games could they have pulled the upset then?

You're contridicting yourself and not making much sense. Obviosly you back CCH and obviosly have some ax to grind or some desire to stir the pot bringing up locker room and coaches office stuff. I'm done. Go Colonels.

Go Colonels!

Did you really just quote Elton John?

Elton John?

Really?

I now have seen just about everything on BGP:lol:

I proabably will regret stepping in between KL and CCRadio, but...

I think that everyone can agree that it has been more difficult for Mr. Thelan to get his points over the last few games as teams have focused their defenses on eliminating the easy shots. Mr. Thelan, to his credit, has stepped up and made some good moves inside and has put up some good shots outside (and to be fair he's also put up some ill advised shots from the outside.)

As pressure has increased on Mr. Thelan, Mr. Wellbrock has 'man'ed up' done very well.

The key, I belive, is how will the supporting cast play for the Colonels for the remainder of the season. Mr. Wilson plays with intensity and is not afraid to shoot (good thing!). Mr. Connelly has been shooting hot lately, but he only plays half a game (why I don't know). Those two guys have accounted for the majority of the 'non- Bread-n-Butter' points for CCH for the last two games. Someone else needs to step up, or be allowed to step up.

Not between us at all. You're helping me make my point. There is no conspiracy to not get Jake the ball. If he's in position to score, he'll get the ball. If he gets double team tonight, we may see a repeat of his 10 points agasint HC. You may becoming in the middle of Coach L and other posters.
