I'm sure Hahn will be an o-line anchor. From there I'm not sure how the o-line will shake out. Running backs you have True and Streeter. Defensively we will be fine. I quess for me I'm curious to see how the o-line shapes up. Can't wait for spring practice. Alot can change between spring and August. Certainly in for another exciting year.:popcorn:

Too early to say who will fill the open spots. But consider me one that believes those that have stated they are very glad this year's senior class is graduating (with the accompanying belief that Highlands football team will drop off significantly in quality) are going to be greatly disappointed and surprised. We will reload and again be at a very high level of play.:thumb:

I think that's the only level that Highlands knows how to play and that's what makes their program so great. Dedication from the coaches and from talented players is a good combination to have. I wanted to know who's next in line to shine over there.

I wouldnt be surprised to see Drake Bruns as the featured back. He is the most athletic kid on the team and has nice size. Streeter will still be the scatback and True will be the short yardage guy most likely due to his size and strength.

 

Towles will be dealing from the shotgun as expected. The Wide REceiver positions will be interesting to see. Gold and Gall will most likely be the main targets. I know Gall had a fantastic JV season last year making some spectacular grabs. Ozzie Sheehan will also be a nice option to go to for possession grabs and possible straight line streaks. He has some wheels for sure.

 

The offensive line I really have no clue except for Hahn. I know they are talking about beefing some guys up and moving them to the interior line. This is what I am hearing and please remember these are just my opinions. I am not as close to the program as many that post on here. I am sure I am leaving some key players out.

They have to get Bruns on O somewhere rather it be RB or WR he is too talented.

I guess I should clear it up with does anyone have the size, strength and footwork of Grubbs, the spped of Collinsworth and any graduating receivers? This wasn't a negative question.

I've been watching winter workouts. There are no players the size of Tyler Grubbs, but there are quite a few players as fast as Austin Collinsworth, including a super-quick senior running back who hasn't played since the beginning of his sophomore year. Highlands will be not be as big in 2010 but will be extremely fast.

The Birds return two very good and experienced o lineman starters in Cherokee Meyer and Ryan Hahn, there are 3 other spots up for grab with some decent size guys and very good athletes in line for their shot to prove that they are worthy. I do know this much, Coach Turner will figure it out, he always does, I dont know much about those doggie positions because I was one of the special ones that played only a skilled position, but I do know that Turner knows his stuff, perhaps better than anybody at the HS level in KY and I can assure you he will reload, he always does. 20n10.

I do remember True from the Spartan days, and the kid was a load then.

Would that speedy back have the initials EB?

His name is Kevin Duenas and he's super-quick and working hard.
