Ryan Thompson from Cooper hit over .400 last year and was their best pitcher. Not sure if he is top 10 but is a very good player.

Each of us will have our own opinion but you are wrong statistically on both points. Statistically speaking he had I believe 32 errors in 26 games, however most of those came in 5 rough games for him. Pitching wise, he was a leader on the team and had most of the 7 wins. It doesn't matter who they are against when you are a first year school. Turner pitched well early but then faded off before having off the field issues midway through the season resulting in him being kicked off the team. I hope he has a nice senior year at Boone and more importantly I hope he matures into a responsible adult.

Very true, hard to play well when you cant even keep yourself on the team. Must have been tough, Thompson is going to play college ball, watch.

Travis Jones ( aka Choppy) will have a solid year for Newport.

Here is junior that is flying under the radar Brian Doyle for Newcath. He pitched in the Southwest Ohio League in the summer, for the Northern Kentucky Panthers. Here are his stats, 5 complete games, 58 2/3 innings, 238 batters, 52 hits, 22 runs 17 earned, 9 walks, 63 k's, and went 7-0. Given the proper opportunity, he should really help out the Breds pitching this year with Meyer and Cain.

I know he is a great pitcher but what you forgot to put on here is the Northern Kentucky Panthers played in the Conitinental Division of the 16 Division. With no disrespect intended those teams are very very very much alike knothole teams. Some are worse. We will see how he does this season against some of the 9th Region teams.

I know nothing about Doyle, but the above bolded is very accurate. Big time difference pitching Continental and National levels of competition. Again, he might have indeed faced some NL teams in tournaments for all I know, but pitching against a game in-game out NL competition would be a much truer gauge of his ability.

In comparison, pitching to a Continental team would be like pitching to a Cooper, Newport, Holmes, Villa, Ludlow. While pitching to a National league team would be like pitching against the teams such as Cov Cath, Ryle, Boone, Dixie, Highlands, and Connor. The Amercian league teams up here I'd say were the teams like Lloyd, Bellevue, Simon Kenton, Scott, St. Henry, Holy Cross, etc.

^ No doubt. Sounds like the calls I used to get from parents saying their son was "this or that" and MVP of his knothole team, etc.. some turned out okay but most I didn't even keep as they weren't better than our 11th kid on the team.
