The key to this is that I currently have a job so I will hang onto it for at least a month to be sure this one works out. If it doesn't o well I have a job. If it does I'm working from home. Also I could do both, I mean if I only made 5 bucks an hour ir something I did it on my spare time watching tv or something. I saw one guy who said he only made $40 in 10 hours. Yes, you get to sit at home, but you could make $7 or $8 working part time at a gas station nearby or something. Another thing is ChaCha's site even says that it's not meant to replace your current job or be a primary source of income. Not trying to stop you, and I'm sure there are cases where people make some decent spending money doing it, but just from the way it looks to me, if you don't spend a good amount of hours on it, you're not going to come away with much.

February 3, 201016 yr Why would a 1099 hurt you on your taxes? You have to report any income you might earn from them. I tried this is not what it seems and I know someone else who did it who felt the same. It's worth a try you might like it.
February 3, 201016 yr How much do you get paid? Just based off time put in?They set aside one pool of money for all of their guides. You get paid a percentage of that pool, based on how many questions you answered. I don't know; it sounds kind of strange to me. I get nervous around companies that seem to spend an inordinate amount of their advertising message on recruiting people to be "employees," instead of focusing on their product.

February 3, 201016 yr You will definitely pay more tax with a 1099 instead of a regular job where you get a W2. You will owe self employment tax on your earnings, which is twice the rate of social security and medicare tax you would normally have withheld on W2 earnings. You should see your tax preparer before you start this job and discuss how best to set aside taxes for this job and pay them in. If not you will get a very unpleasant surprise come tax time.
