Government let underwear bomber in intentionally

Featured Replies

So now is known that that government intentionally let the underwear bomber keep his US visa so that they could track him. They even admit the watch list is just that - a list to ensure we are watching known terrorist but not necessarily a list to keep them out.

This will make you feel safe:

http://detnews.com/article/20100127/NATION/1270405/Terror-suspect-kept-visa-to-avoid-tipping-off-larger-investigation

Patrick F. Kennedy, an undersecretary for management at the State Department, said Abdulmutallab's visa wasn't taken away because intelligence officials asked his agency not to deny a visa to the suspected terrorist over concerns that a denial would've foiled a larger investigation into al-Qaida threats against the United States.

"Revocation action would've disclosed what they were doing," Kennedy said in testimony before the House Committee on Homeland Security.

The official story to the event is still evolving. But a passenger who has been vocal about the assistance the bomber got to get on the plan without a passport in Amsterdam is still holding to his story.

It only took ABC news to report that the passengers account is now a formal part of the investigation.

Federal agents also tell ABCNews.com they are attempting to identify a man who passengers said helped Abdulmutallab change planes for Detroit when he landed in Amsterdam from Lagos, Nigeria.

Authorities had initially discounted the passenger accounts, but the agents say there is a growing belief the man have played a role to make sure Abdulmutallab "did not get cold feet."

Sharp Dressed Man (SDM) is the nickname of this helper.

I've been following this story closely and I can't believe people on here don't comment about it. There are witnesses saying we've been lied to the entire time about this terrorsit "attack" from day one. Dateline ran a story and after originally talking to the Haskell's they decided they had the story wrong. There are multiple witnesses reporting that another passenger video recorded the entire thing and focused on the bomber the whole time. The FBI was notified of this right away yet they didn't try to recover the video or even worse they recovered it and are denying they found it. Something fishy is going on and the President didn't care enough to cut short his vacation and a security chief went on his ski trip the next day. Now we find out that the guy who helped this guy on the plane could be a US government official yet it's not a major news story.

Clyde, not trying to call you out but you have been the most vocal about Fox News being not really a news organazation anymore. Do those exist? Or are they all too big and they don't want to get the wrong people mad?

Why do people on here not seem to care that the Government didn't care if this plane blew up w/ American citizens on board? Why the government cover up? Why a seemingly uninterested President? Mind blowing....

....

Thank you for thinking of me.

One would think that in the name of ratings which leads to more ad dollars that ALL of the stations (Fox, MSNBC, CNN) would be on this if they found there something compelling.

The fact that Fox is not all over this as it would make the President and his administration look bad makes me question the supposed cover-up.

I'm sure Jack Bauer was on the plane and was never going to let that bomb detonate.

The fact that Fox is not all over this as it would make the President and his administration look bad makes me question the supposed cover-up.
???????????????????

So... because it was reported by Fox, it is severely discredited for you?

i believe if you actually read what he said, he said that Fox is not running it every hour on the hour so he has a hard time believing it has legs. Fox has a tendance to run these things even before they have legs so if they are not harping on it, there is an even bigger chance that it is not true.

Well when you have a point or a question it usually is at least thought out so I figured you would respond level headed.

Fox did cover it initially. It has legs b/c now everything Haskell said initially has been backed up and his story never wavered.

Did you read the links provided? It is true.

Sometimes you have to let things play out a little to gather information on what terrorists and other hostile organizations are planning, then step in at the appropriate time when it seems things are progressing quicker than are expected or if there is nothing left to gather.

This is what seemed to happen in this case as they let the plan play out a little to gather some more info but they had people in place the whole time ready if something should come up in order to put the situation to an immediate halt.

1. He tried to blow up a plane. They probably let it go too far.

2. Why change the official story more than a half dozen times?

Thank you for the compliment.

I must admit that I have not heard much of this on any of the talk shows (radio or TV). Are Fox shows now covering it regularly? I'd think that Mr. Beck would have his army all over this if he thought it could stain the presidency. I'm not saying its not a valid story and I'm not discrediting it. I just find it hard to believe that a station with an anti-Obama agenda (vs the pro-Obama MSNBC) would be running this non-stop.

Actually, it would be just the opposite.

Just trying to understand Bro... it's tough when I dip in and out of some of these threads. :thumb:

Nobody is covering it right now that I know of. ABC put it in the last two paragraphs of a blog about women terrorists. I have no idea why Fox isn't all over it. The government is now admitting that Haskell was right. It really is beyond fascinating to me. If you want more info check out their family blog. I'd actually like to know your opinion on it if you do check out the info.
