I don't long for the days of bashing President Bush. But when President Bush was being bashed in this thread there were more than enough Bush supporters here to defend him. That's not hardly the case today with Obama. It's 1 vs. 100 and the 1 is Obama defenders.

 

This forum has always leaned to the right a little, but it's further to the right than it's ever been right now.

 

Those aren't the only reasons I've grown tired of this forum. Like I said before, politics just aren't fun for me to discuss anymore.

Is that disillusionment with Obama I'm sensing? COuld it be that it's not that "fun" in here any more because you see the travesty that is the Obama presidency so far pointed out? Or was it simply more fun when you could pile on while Bush was in office?

 

The bottom line is I have a real belief that Obama and those like him wish more people would start caring less and less about politics. If less people cared then that train wreck of a health care bill would be law right now.

 

I've never been an Obama supporter. I didn't vote for him and I probably won't next election either.

 

I should say, I support him as our President and I hope he helps this country out. But I'm not a person who will go out campaigning for him.

Thank you for putting words in my mouth....it sounds to me if the opposite is true . . . you think you are right and others have little intellect. You are right about one thing I was pretty much sure I was going to hear the same ideas that Obama has espoused to since his campaign days . . . I did hope that the election in Massachusetts might have tempered that a bit but it seems it just emboldened him. If he had backed off a little and shown a smidgen of humility and said that he planned to go back to the drawing board and listen to the majority of the American people on Healthcare I would have been pleasantly surprised. I am not as closed mind as you may think but he hasn't moved away from his socialistic ideas at all ----in fact, he may have gone further left. And, his push for continuing the "culture of death" is stronger than ever. I know you think that issue has no place in politics but I do.... so it looks like we will continue to disagree. I do not think you or others have no intellect I just think we see things in a very different way. Sorry if that offends you.:thumb:

A lot of us love well-reasoned, informative discussion, but frankly, the constant drone of "Kool-Aid" type remarks and the incredible hyperbole and exaggerations in this forum have become tiresome. It's a big reason I don't venture into this forum very often anymore.
