I'm not as bothered by a sitting President criticizing a decision by any court. Heck, didn't President Reagan criticize decisions that didn't go along with his pro-life stance? I was OK with that and I'm OK with any other President expressing his viewpoint. Don't know. But if he did so criticize in the somewhat hyperbole laden manner that Obama did, I wouldn't have agreed with it. Do you think Obama's reference to "big oil, Wall Street banks, and health insurance companies" as those big money special interest groups undermining the influence of "average Americans" may have been done in an attempt to demonize them to win back main streeters upset with him over the health care reform debacle? I do, much like his tax on big banks to recover any bail out losses was nothing than a political ploy to appeal to main streeters. The banks paid back the money they borrowed with interest. They fulfilled their end of the bargain. But was that good enough? No. Obama's political advisors and Mr. Frank realized that the payment of bonuses by the banks could be used for political gain with "average Americans", so right or wrong, fair or unfair, he decided to tax the banks to appeal to populist emotions. It's really disappointing to me. Even though I supported McCain, after Obama got elected, I hoped with my heart (while knowing better with my brain) that Obama would be the type of President that he said he would while campaigning. He's not. What I see in his actions is that he's being controlled by political advisors much the way Bush allowed himself to be controlled by his political advisors. Maybe more so. Obama is now appealling to the populist emotions that Wall Street, big oil and health insurance companies are evil in an attempt to recover politically. And he used the Supreme Court decision to do so. That is wrong.

However, that doesn't mean he doesn't believe it. He's shown that his philosphy on big business is different than Rs. No shock.

I think I take exception to the assumption that anyone who voted for Obama was brainwashed. I know I and several others put a lot of thought, research and effort into deciding who we would be voting for. I wasn't brainwashed. I think that's a term that's easy to use, but simply not applicable.

January 28, 201016 yr While there may have been some wire-taps that were outside the bounds of the act, no one has been arrested and gone to jail unfairly. Most certainly they have - that gentleman from the Northwest - said he was involved with the train in Spain. But who really keeps track of that stuff.
