Does anyone know if Lewis Co will have Riley and Smith back in time for "The Texas Death Match" against Greenup Co in the districts? I believe I have their names correct...:idunno: If so, :popcorn::clap:

Riley played last night for Lewis. Didn't start but played and was effective. And if you're talking about Terrence Smith, who was injured in an automobile accident, as I understand it, he will not play this season at all. Perhaps I'm mistaken. And truly a shame, he is a fantastic player.

That would be true about Smith saw him about a month ago an was still in a full neck and shoulder brace (not sure if it's off now though). My understanding is that his career is over on the ball floor. The kid was lucky to be alive and to be able to walk on his own two feet after that accident.

I caught about 10 minutes of the first half and Russell's radio announcer said Smith and Lewis Co. will be trying to get a medical redshirt from the KHSAA. I hope it all works out, but I have never heard of this in high school.

I am almost certain that Smith had to drop out of school, due to missing an abnormal amount of days from the accident. I am sure he will not play this year. He will be a senior next year, but I do not know if he will be able to participate in High School Sports.

Bottom line, I hope he gets back to 100% and can lead a normal life!:thumb:
