For someone with 36,000+ posts to tell me that I have an agenda is the definition of irony...No, I am simply musing the fact that KY has just lost one of its most successful coaches, and the majority of posts on the subject are negative...and moreover, most of these posts are coming from Trinity posters, a school that has hardly been regarded (right or wrong) by the masses as an ethical compass. I believe, other than the fumbleroski, Male has had as many sanctions leveled against them as T or X in the past decade.

Not say that T or X are guilty of anything, but for either of their supporters to throw allegations at Male and Redman, allegations with little to zero conclusive findings, is to define hypocrisy.

What "situation"?

 

Driver was eligible to play in Jefferson County and, as you Rock fans like to say, if you have proof of KHSAA rules violations, then man up, baby, and report it. If there was a rules violation (as you imply), how is it that Driver played all four years at Male (fifteen years ago), without anyone ever stepping up and reporting your "questionables"?

 

You know, it's really kind of pathetic that this example keeps getting brought up. Driver played a minor role (as a Freshman) on Redman's '93 state championship team. Name me one impact player in the last ten years that didn't come from Male's Traditional feeder schools. You can't. Montrell Jones, Michael Bush, Doug Beaumont, Justin Green all came from Traditional middle feeder schools.

 

That's more than I can say for your favorite program. On each of Beatty's seven Trinity state championship teams, the leading scorer (excluding kickers) on every team has come from outside of the Catholic school feeder system. With the new freshman receiver phenom (hailing from Newburg Middle), the trend is sure to continue.

 

So, please dispense with the unproven insinuations of wrongdoing in your comments about Male's program and Coach Redman.

First off Tony grew up in Glasgow, and lived with a coach while playing and attending Male. Illegal or not, I don't care. It's shady business. Also, i went to a public school my whole school life until high school. Yet, I went to a Catholic Church and went through CCD, I guess that's not from a feeder either.

 

In the end, in regards to Driver, I would like to know how a kid from Glasgow, ended up at Male, and yet his brother stayed home and went to Glasgow High School.

Redman brings it upon hismelf by always talking about how the deck is stacked against him, what a joke.

If it's not illegal, then why bring it up? I think to tarnish Redman's 18 years at Male. You mention (repeatedly, in this thread and many others) something you think you know about one player fifteen years ago. If the bar to tarnish reputations is merely the appearance of 'shadiness', then I'm sure the floodgates will be opened on your program and many others. People in glass houses should not cast stones.

 

Let the man move on without the classless parting shots against him or his accomplishments.

My kid played for him and maybe there were some things in his early days, I'm a honest guy, but all I can say is people do change and things may make a man change. But he treated the boys at Male very fair, and there is no need to bring things up with this parting thread. We wouldn't do it to your coach.

So, the Redman hire got approved yesterday, passing with a 5-2 vote. The two that voted no, did so, because the school district had to cut their budget by $3m. They also noted that due to this hire, some teaching positions may have to be eliminated.

Put a toll on the bridge. :idunno:
