100% Agreement and here is another point that I witnessed 1st hand. For the most part, our kids got the opportunity to meet other talented athletes from around the state . In my son's case, he had a GREAT TIME and has already got new friends requests and vice versa on Facebook. My son actually told his parents how funny certain kids were, and what the really have in common as and I watched the interaction between these kids on the sidelines, which was very cool. I took pictures and have several where he and his pal were yakking in up with Rees, and laughing with Dylan Curry . both kids he never met before.

 

The scoreboard reflected a Kentucky loss and I think we know why this happened and who was culpable - the smiles on these kids faces , the new friends they met reflect a much greater Kentucky :banana:victory!!

I think because this is called a All-Star game that is what you have is players from these teams that their coaches consider all-stars. When you put this many talented young men together noone is going to get the time they feel they deserve. Let's face it these are their teams best players they are use to getting the majority of playing time in every game. That's not going to happen with a game like this. Too many stars!!

That really wasn't the case. Considering the RB's you had and the field conditions the coaches should have made adjustments to accommodate that. The Tennessee coaches saw what was going to work by the second quarter and made adjustments. The Kentucky coaches didn't. Raglin runs the opening kickoff back to the 35 and sets up the first Ky td and then you hardly see him on the field again.

It is a great event to promote football. I'm not a football rocket scientist, but even I was frustrated at the play calling. I understand what your saying. My son played, he only spoke positive about the whole event. The only thing he said was that he wished his other two teammates had gotten more playing time. They both are very good athletes and when given the opportunity our QB showed he could run with the big dogs.

For those who said we should have run the ball more.....Dudley Hilton of Bell County (Hilton and Greer coached defense, I believe this year) will be the head coach next year. Should solve the run problem!

Hilton will solve the problem of running the ball next season for the game and you can take that to the bank.

I agree, I felt had KY used the backfield they had, they would've ran away with the game.

 

Some guys who I'm sure were chosen to play defense still could've went in and played a down or two of offense (vice versa), for example Caleb Watkins would know how to run power or sweep. Raglin the same, Rees, needed a lot of carries as well as Hayden. Shocked Amis didn't see anytime at QB considering the formation used was a Pistol set, the entire time.
