N Too small of a school to not have some of your better athletes and players who play until their soph and junior year not come out.

Don't think there is an All Region, impact type player walking the halls and don't know enough about the Egan situation to comment but they have no depth in their program right now.

Has Markel ever played basketball at HC?

 

Roenker was going to play this year but had shoulder problems.

 

Josh Jasper could certainly help but he's not the missing piece.

 

The Knochleman boy would be a decent backup.

 

So its not a case of supremely-talented players playing through their junior year and not coming back, right?

One thing that hurts HC is their recent history of losing players.

 

Here is a list:

-Johny Redick graduated last year and who quit after his sophomore year

-Andy Roenker quit after sophomore year

-Keith Egan quit this year

-Markel and Eric Walker practiced with the team early this year and then quit

-Jante Scruggs quit his senior year

-Mike Sullivan quit his senior year

-Blake Bass quit after his freshman year

-Casey Sorrell transferred

Maybe Schmidt or Rasche could still suit up for Holy Cross!

As I said in my post not a case of an impact type player just not playing but when you lose these players after frosh or soph years it affects overall depth of program. Practices are not as competitive and lose an opportunity for these types of players to develop into better players. Hurts the program over the long run.
