Wow only an 11 pt win for Mason Co?

After what Newcath did to Holy Cross a few nights ago, I too am surprised that Mason Co only won this one by 11 points.

I'd love to see some stats/box score on this one.

Score was 21 - 12 after first quarter.

Closest it got was 44 - 38.

 

Not sure what the free throw % were tonight, but neither team shot well.

Holy Cross really milked the clock.

Turnovers, free throw shooting were both bad especially in the 4th quarter that led to the lead being cut to 6 late in the game. First game of the season, Pawsat still out of the lineup, and kids stepping into larger roles this season than what they are used to. Mason County teams over the past couple of seasons have not looked sharp in the beginning, kind of a work in progress type team right now but it will be a really nice team once they learn one another on the floor. This team has talent and kids that know how to play the game. All this group has done over the years with one another is win. Oh by the way that is what they done last night, found a way to win. A win is a win whether by 1 or 11 points. Congrats guys, focus in cause a tough opponent is ahead on Friday in Scott High.

Holy Cross only beat Dayton by 4 and just lost to Newcath by 24. I don't see how a Mason Co fan can be satisfied with an 11 point win over this team? Looking at the box score, the 1st quarter was the difference in this game, as Holy Cross played the Royals even the rest of the game.

Didn't Mason start 2 Sr's, 2 Jr's and a Sophomore? Setty and Gilbert, Jr's. Both Langs and Manship are Seniors, Black a Sophomore. This isn't young, more like inexperience. Isn't Setty and Gilbert the only starters back from last year? You can fill us in on the grades of the others.
