This has to hurt UC as well...do they stand to gain anything if they beat Pitt? Oh well it is what it is.

It changes nothing for UC other than Pitt hopefully being a little deflated next week...

You do not think it would have helped UC to beat a top ten team?

Especially following today's game.

Has Wannstedt ever won a big game? I've thought for weeks that next week's game at Pitt was going to be UC's downfall, but I now think that BK's coaching alone will be worth at least 10-14 points over Wannstedt.

That's what I was getting at a top 10 road win. Fact is whatever bowl they had them in going into today is what there now going to be in. I think UC only stands to lose now. Oh well it's still BCS!

Won't it hurt the computer numbers a bit if UC does beat them? Being as close as it is with TCU, every little thing matters.

Sure, but not to the point it impacts anything in terms of the BCS. Pitt will still be a top 15 team, and if UC wins there next week it will jump them over TCU in the computers after TCU plays 1-10 New Mexico tomorrow to end their season and that would very likely still be enough in the BCS results...
