I've heard from a few people that have seen Somerset play that say they very well might be the 2009 Class 3A State Champs, and some of these comments were made about mid season.

 

Somerset wins this one and will play for the state title, although I dont think thay will beat Central if they meet. With that being said-Coach Lucas should be named Coach of the year in 3A.

Thats what scares me. Pike Central is probably the only team that SC has faced who would resemble Somerset in any kind of way. They spread the field and had speed at the skill's. It will be ball control/power run game against Speed and big play capability. Them two styles usually dont bold well for one team. Anything can happen in a one game setting. I just hope the winner represents the East well in Bowling Green whether its my guys or Somerset

 

Hey bro if you remember thats the same style we faced against Leslie at Leslie when we were a 4 touchdown underdog.

Leslie was undefeated in 2006 season, winner played Belfry for the regional championship.

 

You remember that 11 minute drive that resulted in a huge touchdown for SC, who came back to win the game. :sssh:

I remember it very foundly as I laid on the 5 yard line crying after I thought they had beat us; but that game has little to do with this one. Noone on this team played then.

Hager wants those long drives that completely demoralize a defense.

 

I don't know a whole lot about Corbin.. and you're the one who's going to be watching the film, but from what I gather they are a VERY athletic team.

I am excited about this game and will travel on Friday to watch. The key is if Sheldon has the speed to defensively to contain Somerset. If they do they have a shot at beating them. I have not seen Sheldon yet so it is unknown to me.

The big play's worry me as I figure Somerset is a threat to score from anywhere on the field. The type of game that SC will want to play won't work if Somerset is going to threaten each drive.

You guys will first come to field just off of Ky 80 on your left (can't miss it). Keep going west on Ky 80 for about 2 miles until you come to US 27. Most of our restaurants are south of the intersection. Cracker Barrell, Golden Corrall, Ruby Tuesday, Peking (chinese), King Buffett (chinese) in the Wal-Mart shopping center, Casa Grande (mexican) on right behind Little Ceasars pizza, Bob Evans, Fazzolis, Sonny's BBQ, Culvers, etc. I can promise you that you won't have any problem finding a place to eat in Somerset. If you want food, gas or a used car, Somerset is the place. :thumb:

Either go to the harbor at Lee's Ford Marina off of W. Ky 80 (about 6 miles west of Somerset) or go to Burnside (about 2 miles south of Somerset on US 27). Burnside has Sully's, Mexican x 2, and the End Zone Pizzan and Pub.
