November 15, 200916 yr Looks like Lesnar, Carwin, Big Nog, Anderson Silva, and Wanderlai Silva are all out with injuries, and not slated to come back any time soon. Machida has to recover from the damage Shogun layed on him, and Rampage Jackson and Dan Henderson are gone. Chuck Liddel is probably going to retire, and Randy Couture is older than Mathusela. There's not a lot of guys left right now who are capable of headlining a major card. Ortiz/Griffin is certainly not a major league draw. UFC may be in for some troubling times. What say you?
November 15, 200916 yr They are still putting up great cards. Unfortunately this is the fighting business and injuries happen. I hope Lesnar is OK though. Apparently his condition is much worse than we were told originally. LINK About everyone being injured and not having potential huge fights... We still get to see BJ Penn vs Diego Sanchez coming up, that will be nice. Griffin/Ortiz is a good fight as is Koscheck vs Johnson. I think we've been spoiled with all the great fights we've gotten in the recent past. These guys will get healthy and by early-mid next year we'll be seeing back to back big time PPV's again. The UFC has built an empire. It will take more than this to put them in any kind of "trouble".
November 15, 200916 yr I read a report where Shane McMahon(WWE) had a meeting with UFC Officials at their office. UFC President Dana White wouldn't comment on it when asked.
November 15, 200916 yr I read a report where Shane McMahon(WWE) had a meeting with UFC Officials at their office. UFC President Dana White wouldn't comment on it when asked. That's about all there is to that story at this point based on what I've read. Shane met with them and that's it. I doubt it goes beyond that.
November 15, 200916 yr Author Anyone else thinking Lesner might have cancer or something along those lines? No, Dana White said it wasn't on the level of cancer or HIV, but that it was very serious, and it will be a long time before he fights again. Lesnar made him not say what it is because he's a very private person.

November 15, 200916 yr I wonder what they could have been discussing. I wouldn't be surprise to find out that the WWE wants to buy into or buy UFC.
November 15, 200916 yr I wouldn't be surprise to find out that the WWE wants to buy into or buy UFC.I sure hope not!
November 15, 200916 yr I wouldn't be surprise to find out that the WWE wants to buy into or buy UFC. That in my mind would be horrible, the UFC's legitimacy is what has taking them this far. Hate to see them tainted by the WWE.
November 16, 200916 yr I can't see Dana selling the UFC Thats what I'm thinking. They're contantly growing, so why sell. I wonder what it would sell for.
November 16, 200916 yr I'm sure he'd make 100 fold of what he gave for it, but he's and ego-maniac. No way he lets the UFC go.
November 16, 200916 yr I can't see Dana selling the UFC Dana doesn't own the UFC. The Fertitta brothers own Zuffa, which owns the UFC. Dana is just President of the company.
November 16, 200916 yr I wouldn't be surprise to find out that the WWE wants to buy into or buy UFC. Shane McMahon is no longer with the WWE based on what I've read.
