Why do I get so frustrated with this team even though we keep winning? 7-1 last eight games. I have never been around a team that can play as bad as we do at times and still come out on top. That must say something about this team. Their is no other team in the state of Kentucky that gets any uglyer (is that a word) wins then we the RAMS. We had a lot of fans run out onto the field congratulating the team and coaches and at the same time shaking our heads and wondering how we did it.

 

A win is a win is a win. And some how we WIN. I'm so happy for this team for never giving up. Our RAMS no matter how ugly it is plays till the last whistle sounds.

 

Once again we were down a few linemen in this game. Have we played any games this year with all of the starters on the field? One maybe.

 

Once again the defense played a good game. And once again our offense was very shaky. I think our D only gave up one touchdown. Great job DEFENSE.

 

 

I usually don't like to call out any individual names on a team sport like football. But I'm going to congratulate some players for coming up with some big plays.

L. Huffman- INT for the biggest score of the game. Gave new life to the team. And two good catches for big first downs., R. Burchett- Big Big run up the middle for the final score late in the forth qtr. B. Mckee- You came to play and it showed. Good hustle, pass routes and catches for big plays. One I know of on 4th down. P. Hamilton- great INT. You were out matched on speed but you played and fought hard. M. Litteral- good hard running and big plays on defense. B. Caudill - Soph. I'm glad this kid is going to be around two more years. Gives 110% all the time. Big plays on defense. I think the big QB has 54 stamped on his uniform now. E. Cumpton (sp)- another hard day at work for this kid. Always out sized in every way but heart. He chased that C,ville QB all over the field. And had some big tackles. Offense blocking wasn't bad also. C. Grant.- I think this is another player C,ville talked about all week. Played an over all great game. Never coming out of the game. Clogging up the D-line. Good snaps on X-points and fieldgoal. BIG BIG BIG. R. Jobe- Man this player should get the blue collar award. Works hard every down. Came up big toinght on defense and that big fieldgoal. Also the x-points. Big Big Big. I know I'm forgetting some. But it's 9 am and We didn't get in till after 3am. After I think about it I'm sure I'll remember the rest. And maybe some of you can help me remember.

 

One other big thing. We have the best and most respectful cheerleaders and mascot around. They came across some adversity last night and handled it alot better then I would or ever could have. I watched it all. And was getting more upset by each passing minute. I new I couldn't go down to help unless it got out of hand. I don't handle stuff like this very well. These girls tought me a lesson tonight. A bunch of thugs from the other school came up to our side and started tearing down the posters the girls had worked hard on. And had hung up on the fence. When they seen what had happened. Some of the girls went over to repair the posters and to retape the posters back to the fence. They asked them PLEASE don't do that. But even the trainers or whoever they were for C,ville were in on it. The girls acted like our great perants and school has tought them. RESPECT. They went and got the security guard.( Didn't help much ) While he was standing their the kids still tore a sign down. And once again our kids went over and picked up the sign and threw it in the trash. It couldn't be repaired at that time. But once again the girls with respect asked nicely please don't do that. There is more to this story. But I just want to say thanks to these cheerleaders and mascot for acting with so much respect and class. You gained mine tonight. THANK YOU ALL. I hope that someone from the school will recognize these girls for what great citizens and students they were last night.

 

IT's Great To Be A RAM

I've been to several different schools where the disrespect was terrible. Not only from the kids but from adults also.

But I believe that something like that would probably never happen at our field. Even if someone started to do something like that, one of our school admins would put a quick stop to it.

:thumb: Along with several Raceland fans and/or parents would stop them. Those type described are not real fans:rolleyes:, they are usually just some wanting attention....their 15 minutes of fame :irked:.

Rams, now comes the monumental task of LCA.

Same as all season guys, lets pick up that Lunch Box, Get Focused and go to work each day and get ready for LCA and to play the game of your lives!! I know without a doubt this team wil play hard untill the final horn sounds. This Raceland team is like all others in that they wil not quit and the fans are the same, Raceland fans will be out in full force in going to Lexington and supporting this team.

The hospitality was awesome and you treated my wife well and made sure she was taken care of while we were taping and getting pre-game taken care of. I know about the incident involving the signs but that does not reflect on the overall experience. Thank you.

 

Now, way to go Rams! We came out playing well and found away to lay down and let them score 20 unanswered points before we awoke to finish the deal. I felt like we learned how to handle speed and talent because C'Ville had a lot of it. I felt this was the second best team we faced all year, of course you know who #1 is...........lol. I am so glad we have everyone playing well now. Let's see if it makes a difference next week. I seem to recall a 42-7 butt whippin' in the regular season 2007 and and what happened in round 2 of the playoffs that year, too.

Wow, I think I have recuperated from the long trip, "cardiac performance of the Rams", and the long trip home. What a day of football, and I do mean a day, it started about 10 am, and ended at 3:30 am.

 

Great battle by both teams. Gutty performance by the Rams, they fought and clawed back to get the win. At times Cville wanted it more, but in the fourth quarter, the Rams wanted it more. Loran Huffman it credited with sparking the comeback, his INT and TD really but the Rams back into the game and created a huge momentum swing that didn't end.

I really didn't mean for this to turn into a talk about the C-ville fans. I know that 99% of them are great kids, mothers, fathers ect. What was going on with the TIME KEEPER? The refs were really getting upset with him. The refs over the course of the game had to tell the time keeper to start the clock 6 times that I know of. I think it was 4 times in the last qtr. Was something wrong with the clock? Or was it the keeper himself? Was he new at it? Or did he just keep forgetting? I know that when the refs told him to run the clock down to get it readjusted it worked fine. Does anyone know? I had never seen it happen in a game more then a few times. There is always a call or two that you feel the officials miss or choose to overlook. But the time keeper was very blatant. IF someone from Cville can shed some light on this issue, I, for one would really appreciate it. I mean, does this happen often or was he an emergency fill in? If he is the usual time keeper, you need to make a change!!!! He was horrible!

How quickly a destruction at the hands of a northern Kentucky team makes one forget about Ashland! :confused:
