Dick Lebeau Couldn't Cover Chad

Featured Replies

Didn't chad have a list of the corners who'd be covering him one season and he was marking them off one by one. He went out and laid an egg if I'm not mistaken against Ike Taylor. I'm sure one of the stat doctors will have that answer soon, quite possibly all the stats in the Ocho vs. Ike saga.:idunno:

Must be a bad link or something, because I don't see an article when I click that link.

And if I remember correctly he found some reason to check him off. He beat him on one play or something stupid.:idunno:

Strange. I clicked on it a few minute ago and it worked.

Now it says the article either expired or has been deleted. Hmmmmmmm....:idunno:

Link says Chad claims Lebeau couldn't cover him. Didn't hear Lebeau say it. However, I don't doubt Chad is right.

Apparently articles expire.:idunno:

It's gone. Lebeau had it removed because it violated rule #6. False information

Are we really going to sit here and pretend like Ike covers him one on one?

My goodness. I was talking about a couple of seasons ago. Don't get your drawers in a wad. And yes Ike will be on Chad in man coverage with help over the top. Just like always. That's why Whosyomamma always had more catches in those matchups.

Notes: Ocho says LeBeau couldn't cover him

The good news is the last time Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocincoicon-article-link.gif had 100-yard game against the Steelers, it was in Pittsburgh and they won. The bad news is that was nearly six years ago.

But as the Bengals continued preparations Wednesday for Sunday’s AFC North first-place showdown in Pittsburgh, The Ocho insisted that Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor couldn’t cover him in a phone booth. Not only that, he also said that 72-year-old Steelers defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau couldn’t have covered him in his prime, either.

LeBeau, the former Lions cornerback and Bengals head coach who has a great shot at getting into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in January as one of the two Senior candidates, has a soft spot in The Ocho’s heart. LeBeau was his first head coach and he used to ride next to him on the bus from the hotel to the stadium at away games.

“He taught me a lot,” The Ocho said. “I didn’t know anything.”

Count Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward as a big fan of The Ocho. So he said in Wednesday’s conference call with the Cincinnati media.

“It’s good to see Chad happy again,” Ward said.

Happy and obedient.

Ochocinco said head coach Marvin Lewis asked him not to repeat last week’s week gift-giving to the Ravens defense. Instead, The Ocho posted “Rule Number 1059,” on his locker, which says official NFL policy is that No. 85 can’t be covered.

He also said he has yet to hear from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell if he’s been fined for offering a $1 bill to an official while the crew reviewed one of his sideline catches. It didn’t help. He was ruled out of bounds. …

The rest of the article was originally in the link above, I happened to have the article open on another page. Here ya go.

Who has their drawers in a wad? I just asked a question.

I'm not surprised. Dick LeBeau is 72 years old.
