Dixie was missing 3 or 4 big guys due to injury or football so they were a tad small.

 

CCH looked OK. They ran a lot of bodies in and out. Tried a lot of different combinations.

 

I still say Evans is going to be a key contributor this year.

 

It was good to see Wellbrock make aggressive low post moves.

 

Jake looked solid.

 

Maschinot's left hand looks better.

 

Solid first outing.

Wellbrock will have a very nice season. I have seen that kid working out in the offseason down at ASAP and he is rocked up and seems very determined. Whether or not the Colonels can put it together as a team is another story. Thelen will also be a nice option on the block as well.

Thanks for the recap. Glad to hear Trevor was being aggresive, as I think at times last year it almost seemed he was afraid he'd get fouled and have to go to the line! I also agree about Trey. If he and Mattie can hit some outside shots, that will be a big help. How about on Defense? They apply more pressure?

Only returning starter for Beechwood is Pohlgeers, and Nick Hall was 6th man. Cruse IMO will start off the football team. Beechwood actually didn't have any varsity contributors who played football last year, Joe Daniels quit midseason.
