I wouldn't bet the house on that one. That sophmore group for Dixie is loaded with talent, and not just on offense either. Their defense is pretty good from what I have seen. Especially at the DB positions. Cohorn is as physical at the safety position as I have seen in a while, and so is Pillman at the linebacker position. I can see this group improving over the next couple years.

 

Go back and read some posts over the past few years. The same thing is said almost every year, and unfortunately, the varsity outcome is the same every year. Trust me, I wish it was different. However, every year, it's the same old song.

Dixie had some really good years through the mid 2000's but it seems like they have faded over the past few years. Have they had a losing record the past few years or just last year? I guess .500 is about the best they can do this year with Highlands looming in the second round of the playoffs if they win in the first round on the road.

That's a good question but I don't really think so. Dixie and SK have always had tough battles for the most part. However, I think DHHS has lost 2 straight years to SK.

Maybe recently they have had "tough battles", but for most of the past 20 years or so it felt like that it was SK vs. Scott having the "tough battles".

No, I think the amount of growth out in Independence is starting to be seen at SK.
