I said he had a chance if he came out and tried to take Anderson Silva down. He didn't do that. However, this thread is not about Forrest Griffin or Anderson Silva. It's about Shogun/Machida. The same Shogun in which you insinuated had no chance what so ever. The same Shogun that won the fight in many peoples eyes... I knew Shogun had a shot because of his style to beat Machida...and I think he did beat Machida. He got robbed, big time. I think he'll win a rematch with Machida as long as he does the same things. After landing a few big body kicks Machida did not look the same.

I didn't think Shogun had a chance because I wasn't ready to believe that the old Shogun was back simply because he knocked out Chuck Liddel in the first round. At this point, if a fly was to land hard enough on Liddel he'd be out. Obviously, the old Shogun may be back. However, Shogun changed his style dramatically to face Machida, and he had to. If he had been the old aggressive Shogun this may have been a different fight.
October 26, 200916 yr Habib was giving me updates and after the fourth round it said... "Only way Machida wins is if he knocks him out." I didn't see the fight, but it sounds like it was an awful decision.

October 26, 200916 yr Not the most entertaining fight but yeah Im not sure what 3 rounds you can score in favor of Machida in this one.
