October 25, 200916 yr Author ESPECIALLY in a unanimous decision. There's a piece of me that could ALMOST see a split decision, but not unanimous. How about Cain Velasquez though? Looked pretty good. Much the same way he did against Kongo. Oh, a mod might wanna change the title to the thread: UFC 104 Predictions/Spoilers. Later. That's the first time I saw Velasquez fight, and he was very impressive. He pretty much took Rothwell down at will. I can't wait till he starts fighting the elite UFC heavyweights.
October 25, 200916 yr Last night was a complete and utter joke. This is the worst in a string of a handful of "questionable" decisions from UFC judges, IMO. Seriously, this puts a huge damper on watching UFC for me. When a guy dominates a fight the way Shogun did last night and gets completely ripped off...why even watch? At least now maybe everyone will shut up about Machida being better than Anderson Silva because after a long streak of boring fights he scored a couple of KO's. I assume these two will rematch in a few months. At least Shogun knows going in that he has to knock Machida out to win the title...hopefully he can. The Dragon. I'd say Shogun will be ready to go in a couple of weeks, but it'll probably take "the champion" a few months to get his ribs healed up after that beating. :puke: I'd like to thank the UFC and Dana White for another rip off.
October 25, 200916 yr I also don't understand how Forrest Griffin was given a decision victory over Rampage, while Shogun wasn't. Their strategies were essentially the same. The only difference is that Rampage had several good flurries where he landed some heavy shots and damaged Forrest. I don't recall Lyoto Machida ever damaging, or even threatening, Rua last night. All he did was stand there and take punishing kicks to the leg and the ribs. I haven't been this irritated with the UFC...ever. I never really liked Machida and, fair or not, I like him even less now. Other than two impressive KO wins, he's been one of the most boring fighters I've ever watched.
October 25, 200916 yr The good news is that both guys have agreed to a rematch and Dana said they'll make it happen ASAP. Better go for the KO Shogun...just beating the dog crap out of a guy for 5 rounds won't cut it.

In fact, he's doing us a favor by giving us an immediate rematch. If you want to be mad, be mad at the state of California. The judges were probably from the California State Athletic Commission.
October 25, 200916 yr Well I have the fight waiting for me at home to watch and was trying to stay away from the results. Unfortunately while looking for an injury update for fantasy football ESPN.com screwed me over :madman::madman::madman: and had the results posted on the main page. It sounds like I'm going to be very upset when I watch this fight. :madman:

But, there's no fun in being mad at a State Athletic Commission.
October 25, 200916 yr Machida will win the re-match, as Shoguns gameplan is now known and like some here have said he will almost have to go for a KO. CSAC judges who do boxing have no need to do MMA.......
