October 19, 200917 yr http://blogs.dailymail.com/wvu/2009/10/17/a-night-when-wvu-tried-to-avoid-ncaa-violations/# Yeah, I know Jerry Tipton doesn't cover WVU, but can you imagine if this happened at Rupp Arena?
October 19, 200917 yr Wow, wonder if anything will come of this for WVU? I understand you can't control what your fans chant, but they could have made them take down all of those signs. I am not sure how big of a rules violation this can be. But there was an awful lot of printed material on a college student budget.
October 19, 200917 yr Author Was that a mascot holding the Adrien sign? :ohbrother::ohbrother::ohbrother:
October 19, 200917 yr Author That's completely unfair and over the top. Are you talking about the Mr. T sign?
October 20, 200917 yr Author Nice work by John Clay on this matter: http://johnclay.bloginky.com/2009/10/19/did-west-virginia-fans-go-too-far-for-adreian-payne/ It it is investigated and discovered that the fans found out about Payne visiting through a booster or someone close to the program, then it's an NCAA violation.
October 20, 200917 yr Author I rest my case: http://eersports.com/basketball/117-s "Truck tries unsuccesfully to bring Adreian Payne onto the court" Really?
October 20, 200917 yr It is comical to see UK journalist and fans desperately searching for other schools that made mistakes during their "madness" events to make them feel better about what they did. Personally, I don't think what UK did was a big deal at all. Fans are.... fans. The best way to fix it is to get rid of it, these events are exciting and all that, but very controversial. Just do away with it and make it a level playing field for everyone.

I'm not desperately searching for anything - this is a hot topic in college basketball right now and it's a good idea to ride the hot topics. A player pulling a recruit out of his seat is clearly a big-time no-no. End of story.
