I'm not aware that Highlands tracks defensive stats other than fumble recoveries and interceptions. But, after watching tapes of each game I'd say Brandon Roller would be the leading tackler followed by Cameron Dierig.

Two of the top tacklers on one of the best defense's in the NATION! There are a couple of other players that are pretty impressive on the stingy Bluebird "D". #8 Abner. #27 Bruns,#1 and #69 and #4 Travis Alford, this kid can flat out play the game, Alford might be the most under estimated player in N ky. Good Luck Bluebirds.

In 2007 Warren East played 14 games and finished with just two kids barely breaking the 100 tackle mark...with the highest total being around 120...those stats listed above are a joke...whoever turned those in ought to be embarrassed to have done so. :rolleyes:

Pretty impressive. I wish KHSAA had the defensive stats on there. They are much more reliable than maxpreps.
#14 for Somerset (Taylor Sears) has 4 INTs in 6 games. KHSAA has him listed as 7 games but he actually received a concussion on the very first play of the Russell Co. game (which counts as a complete game because he entered) and then set out the Danville game as well.

Maxpreps is not a good source for stats.

Nowhere is a good source for stats.:D Seems like where ever I get them someone is unhappy with me that I didn't know their coach wasn't posting stats there.

I never trust defensive tackling statistics, especially at the HS level. It is a matter of interpretation. A lot of people give "half tackles" for simply jumping in on a guy going down and you get these inflated numbers.
Maxpreps is not a good source for stats.
