2nd. They played Pendleton on Monday.

What is Conner's freshman record? I know they beat Dixie earlier but not sure if they've won many more.

Dixie is Conner's only win - it has been a long season.

 

Conner down 27-20 with 3 minutes left in the game and fumbled at the Campbell one yard line - Campbell recovered and ran the clock out.

 

Conner does seem to have a lot of injured kids on the sidelines - four defensive starters did not play yesterday due to injuries, but that is not to be used as an excuse. Conner could not tackle yesterday....basic football techniques were missing.

 

This group of men will need to work very hard this offseason if they want to succeed at the next level.

Any chance Campbell will makeup the Highlands game this Saturday that got postponed a few weeks ago? Sounds like a good opportunity since they both played early this week (Wednesday) and don't play again until next Thursday.

Sounds like the Freshman went back to the "spread" offense with a single back set? How did that work out last night? Not well, I am guessing.

 

From what I have seen in the past, most of these players will not see the field at the varsity level, if they continue to play like they did earlier in the season.

Conner has some very strong players on it's roster. It is a little disappointing to see them lose so many games this year. They should be much better than 1-5.

How long has Campbell been playing in the Middle School League?

Alot of the Red Devils either go to NCC or HHS...

Boone has a pretty good Pee Wee suystem thru 8th grade, but many of us would LOVE to see a junior high system and give up Pee Wee in Boone County...........but then again, Pee Wee allows many more kids to play and develop, while middle school may limit the number of kids who get a chance....

Queen - no choice last night.inuries changed the game plan back to the spread due to FB injury. I do agree that this group needs to play better if they expect to play at next level....think back to three years ago when Trosper shelved his seniors and started a large group of sophmores....who are now 5-1 as seniors. That could happen to this group in 2-3 years- they currently seem to have the same makeup I recall seeing in last years Conner seniors.

 

A parent at the game last night said it best "this is the largest group of self-centered players and parents I have ever seen". Time to buidl some teamwork, desire, and strength - physically and mentally.
