Queen - no choice last night.inuries changed the game plan back to the spread due to FB injury. I do agree that this group needs to play better if they expect to play at next level....think back to three years ago when Trosper shelved his seniors and started a large group of sophmores....who are now 5-1 as seniors. That could happen to this group in 2-3 years- they currently seem to have the same makeup I recall seeing in last years Conner seniors.

 

A parent at the game last night said it best "this is the largest group of self-centered players and parents I have ever seen". Time to buidl some teamwork, desire, and strength - physically and mentally.

 

Slim - "largest group of self-centered players and parents" is a pretty bold statement for that parent to make??? I know a lot of those kids played in the BC Pee Wee system, what do you think happened? If I remember right, those kids didn't seem that way when they were younger. I could be wrong, I was only able to see what happened on game days back then. But then again, I didn't know their parents.

....and to Conner, Simon Kenton, Cov Cath, Beechwood, etc. My compliments to the the BC peewee system, I just think that all of the Boone Co. District high schools would improve with a middle school system, only taking the Sr. division from the PeeWee league.

Trosper will not put up with this garbage if they keep it up. Nothing worse than parents ruining youth sports. My only advice to them is to stay out of it, and stop whining. Friend of mine close to the program told me that this group has had issues in the past with parents. Just let the coaches coach and the boys play. Everyone needs to stop trying to be an "expert" and quit second quessing their coaches decisions. BTW, I believe Conner is 6-1.

This is football, 11 players on the field at once, each with a particular job to perform. Different from Basketball and Baseball where the individual player can dominate on the court or on the ball diamond. Don't you think the Coaches would or will address any players/parents that would interfere with a team? Were the same parents and players self centered in youth football in Boone Co?

Like I said earlier, the parents & grandparents need to just become a spectator instead of "monday morning quarterbacks". Let these kids play ball, and quit complaining about everything. There are alot of parents of this team that think their kid should be "this" or "that". If you don't like the coaching, send your kid to another school. They have had plenty of time to evaluate these coaches, so it's their own fault if they are not happy. I predict the same issues during BB season. IMHO, parents just need to shut up!

Wow. Things must be really tough in Hebron, if Grandparents are trying to tell the staff how to coach and where to play little Johnny. No way, Grandma & Grandpa?

Not as many Red Devils end up being Camels as you would think. Campbell County has a nice middle school football system.

 

Not necessarily true. Each year the Red Devils send about 4 to 5 players to CCHS, more than are sent to HHS. NCC in the past has benefited the most from the Red Devils, however, the current Senior Division Red Devils will have 7, possibly 8, of their starters play for Campbell County High School next year.

That is good news. Combine that with the success of this year's Camel 8th grade team and next year's freshman team should be quite good.
