Several months ago, a buddy and I were at a concert in Corbin. 3 Doors Down, Hinder, Theory of a Deadman and Blackstone Cherry. I knew I was getting old when, ...

 

1. Someone spilled beer on my buddy and he was worried what his wife would say

2. We played in rock bands together for years and both thought it was 'a little loud'

3. When we were leaving, we saw some of the members of Blackstone Cherry talking with the crowd. My buddy shook one of the band members hand and told him they were very good. His response? 'Thank you sir'. My buddy felt respected and dissed at the same time.

4. My ears were ringing all night and I didn't enjoy it.

5. Seeing many of these bands, I realized that when I was playing music, most of them were not even born yet.

 

That's when it hit me that I was getting old.

Same thing last year for me. I was humming/singing Satisfaction by the Rolling Stones and one of my 10th graders said, "wow, did not know you liked Brittney Spears." I said, "I don't, that is a song by the Rolling Stones." She had a confused look on her face and replied with, "who are the Rolling Stones?"

My youngest asked me who Michael Jackson was last year. :ohbrother:

 

 

You did tell him that he was a former relief pitcher that pitched for the Reds, Phillies, Giants, Mariners as well as a few other teams in his major league career didn't you? :lol:

No, he told him he was a guard on the great Georgetown Hoya teams in the mid 80's.
