Herd a rumor that this game is being moved to Nippert. Can anyone confirm?

I would hope not.

If NCC can keep from turning over the ball like they did vs. CovCath, NCC should win this game handily!

The Holy Cross "D" just won't be able to stop the NCC "O" and NCC will take so much time off the clock with their three yards at a time type of offense, that the Cov Holy Cross "O" will have only one or two chances per half.

Cov Holy Cross can't beat NCC but NCC can beat themselves by turning the ball over but hopefully they have fixed that problem by now!

I like this guy.

I think it boils down to the Holy Cross seniors. How bad do they want to get the NCC "monkey" off their back? Clearly, on paper, HC is more experienced and deeper and should win as a result. But we all know that's why they play high school games for 48 minutes. NCC teams are known to be well disciplined and hard hitting. I hear #65 is a stud. This year HC has some serious offensive firepower. HC needs to play better run defense than it showed against Beechwood, Conner, and Bishop Ready. It was tremendous last Saturday against Louisville Holy Cross. Whoever wins this game will position themselves nicely for the playoffs. This game may go to OT. HC 35, NCC 28.

#65 is the fourth Smith brother, Jake. He is very very underrated and very, very good. If NewCath were to be 5-2 instead of 2-5, he would have received a lot more pub. #15 Jake Cain is very good as well. How is Roeneker? I heard that he had been knicked up earlier in the year.

NCC wins this one their tough schedule pays off:thumb:

35 to 14

Think about what you have posted and tell me why you need someone to confirm that this game just might be moved to Nippert Stadium?

Do they need the larger site for the huge crowd expected? NO!

Are they worried about the field being unplayable for this game? NO! Newport has turf!

Does NCC or Cov Holy Cross have money to burn? NO! Neither has money to burn as both are inner city Catholic High School that struggle to make it as it is!

So what makes you even think that there is even a possibility of this happening?

ftdad you just might want to look at rule #6!

I said in my CovCath vs. NCC post that I was impressed with NCC and I meant it.

NCC if not for the turnovers just might have pulled the upset, but remember if they turn the ball over as they did against CovCath, Cov Holy Cross will come out the winner, as NCC just can't win a game that they get behind in with the kind of "O" they run!

Sorry, I was just asking. Must have missunderstood the person who said it.

No harm no foul.

There was an announcement at NCC that the game was at Nippert. He meant to say Newport. It was just a mistake.

Thank you. I thought I needed to change the batteries in my hearing aid.:thumb:

I can't help to think there is no way NewCath can win this game. HC is to athletic and I see them coming out on top.

Holy Cross 28

NewCath 14
