OK KillerDs who do you think is the class of the district ?

 

Just my opinion, but that's what the district games are for. I mean, you've got three teams at 4-2 right now, and only one of those has been shutout at least once this season.

 

The district slate will tell us who is the class of this district.

There is absolutely nothing fancy about West Jessamine. They don't appear all that talented; by that I mean they aren't the most athletic group you'll ever see. But they are really big and they run their offense to PERFECTION. They seemingly control the ball all night long and if you don't make the most of your possessions, you will lose.

 

I'm not sure what would ever happen if they fell behind (against say, Boyle or Catholic in the next couple weeks), but if you allow the Colts to stay in it, they will absolutely beat you every time. Nice team.:thumb:

 

You're exactly right gchs nothing fancy about them, WJ came into friday nights game with a game plan and ran it to perfection both offensively and defensively. Worst game I've seen WH play all season just couldn't get it together from coaching all the way down to the players on the field, missques all night long. not trying to take anything away from WJ's win they played one heck of a ballgame from start to finish "Very classy of WJ to take a knee on about the 1 or 2 yardline in the closing minutes".

 

WH has to put this one behind them and get ready for district play starting this Friday. I would have to say that for the most part the district is fairly even IMO, WH could come away with a district title this season if they can get the kinks worked out on the practice field and on the sidelines.

I dont't think that has been determined yet, but there hasn't been a huge advantage to any team since the disrict was formed.

Great win for West Jessamine. To see them at 6-0 from where they were before coach Randy Wood took over is amazing. Coach Wood flies under the radar, definitely not a self-promoter, but he is definitely worthy of Coach of the year honors and be in the same talk as those coaches for any prestigous post-season award.

I think initially - when the district was formed - Henry County was the power, then North. But WH and Spencer County caught up last year...this year, the district is entirely up for grabs.

 

We'll know more - I think - after Friday night when WH plays Spencer and North plays Henry... But last year's district games were almost all nail-biters, so maybe we won't know much more than we do today, except for who gets the "leg up" with a 1-0 district mark...
