I voted for Clay before knowing about the injury. WCHS will roll if Hooker is out, IMO.

I think CC will score. Maybe two or three times. The running game for the Tigers, even without the QB, will be tough to completely stop. Even for WC.

 

 

This, IMO, would have been a game to see if Hooker had been healthy.

I've seen both WCHS and CCHS play and think they would have matched up well.

3wishes is right, it was late in the 4th quarter. North led 26-0 at the half. Clay had no answer for North's use of the wildcat formations as they had never seen them use it. I was surprised that they hadn't used it so far this season having Wardrup, a former QB as a RB, but apparently Larkey was holding it out until district play started. It was very effective and kept Clay off balance. Coach Sams at North did a masterful job with his defense holding Clay in check except for maybe 1 or 2 drives. They could never string together enough positive plays to keep their drives going.

 

I checked into it and the good news for Clay is that Hooker is just a junior which means that he should be able to return next year. You hate this for any kid. I certainly wish him a speedy recovery. He is a very good athlete. This does also hurt the basketball team as I think he is a major player for the Tigers on the hardwood as well.

Hooker's dad is Sean Pennington if I'm not mistaken. Sean played for Clay Co. as QB back in the mid 80s.
