Wow! Where was the Shelby offense???

I don't have any major details unfortunately, other than NC took a 7-0 lead on its opening drive, and SC answered with 20 straight points. NC came back and cut it to 20-16 and had the ball late, but couldn't convert. I was told that NC linebacker Demarcus Collins suffered a knee injury in the game and may be out for the year, and NC running back Quentin Brooks injured his hand during the game and didn't play after the first series of the second half.

Probably stuck in the mud. I was told that a near-monsoon came down right around 7 p.m., which probably turned what was already a juicy field into slop.

The NC defense was good tonight. They got to the SC QB alot and made him rush his throws. He still had some very good plays. He is a very good passer when given time to throw.

It's amazing that Cresap isn't getting more PR. The kid is an amazing passer, and extraordinarily poised.

Nelson did play pretty good, and got a few homefield calls their way! Shelby has a nice team that can run between the tackles and pass the ball. On a dry field, this game would have been lopsided with Shelby winning easily.

Great job by the Rockets of securing Victory behind enemy lines, and in bad conditions....:thumb:

The conditions got horrible in the second half. Field held up pretty good in the first half after nearly an inch of rain feel during pregame activities. Everything turned to slop as the night wore on and SC showed that they had a power running game to go along with the other two packages they have. Home calls isn't the right word for it.
