Highlands played terrible the first time they played Ryle. I think the outcome might be a little different if they meet in the playoffs. I believe CovCath, Ryle, and HHS are all pretty close. I think any of those three tems could beat each other on any given night..

When do Cov Cath and Highlands play? And I thought I read somewere their will not be a Championship Game. It that right?

HHS won in OT 15-8..As far as I know there should be a Championship..

At the end of the regular season, 1st place plays 4th and 2nd plays 3rd. The winners then play each other and the losers play each other. That will be your big school championship. The same happens in the small school division.

Also, the bottom teams in the standings play each other in similar fashion - 5 vs. 8, 6 vs. 7 with winners and losers then playing each other. That gets all the teams two more games against equal competition.

My understanding was that 1 on the east plays 2 on the west 2 in the east plays 1 in the west and the winners play for the championship. 3,s and 4,s in the same fashion.

I believe you are thinking back to last year's freshman league and format but it changed this year. There is no east and west this year. This year there is a big school league (5A & 6A schools) and a small school league (2A schools plus Cooper, Scott, Holmes and Beechwood).

I was under the impression that Connor, Boone, Ryle and Simon were in the West and Highlands, Cov Cath, Dixie and Campbell were in the East.

1v2 and 2v1 in the playoffs and you have a legit Championship game.

You could be right about the big schools still having east and west. I haven't heard that before but information is so hard to come by on the freshman league that I can't say for sure if you are right or wrong. If anyone else has good input, jump in.

So much for the game how did that new sweat shirt hold up???

It was soaked, but it held its own.

I did give Ryle credit. I said they did what they had to do to win. Ryle never put their two's in, on either side of the ball. SK had no trouble marching into the red zone, once they got there play calling went down the tube.

I was on the sidelines, and I know for a fact Ryle's 2's were in the game for the last 2 scores for SK.

Last 2???

Seriously. Ryle let SK get within 7 bc their two's were in the game. I'm not buying it..........
