Difference was: One was said (if it was I don't remember) as a speech from the floor, the other was said to the individual's face. If you can't see the difference in that LBBC, you've gone too far to a side. IMO.

Where I'm from, it's more honorable to say something to someone's face than it is to snake around behind their back... :thumb:

No insinuation. Just didn't know the details to the story. Lately I've received enough Email glurge from parishoners who don't do fact checks to find out if things they send are true or not. Never intended to imply that you were deliberately lying. Come to think of it, I've never had a history of doing that here or anywhere I'm aware of.

Another difference was: One was said poorly in an emotional moment while the other was a thoughout planned comment in a speech.

 

If you can't see the difference in that Hatz, you've gone too far to a side. IMO.:D

The first was a childish outburst that smacked of lack of respect for the office, the occasion and the situation because it was not Mr. Wilson's turn to speak.

 

The second was boorish without a doubt, but he is paid to pontificate from the floor of the House when it is his turn to speak.

 

And if one can't see that aspect I still stand by what I stated.

 

Having taught a few years myself (substitute and ad hoc faculty for a Seminary) I think it's important for students, citizens, governmental representatives to learn to speak "in turn." :thumb:

I can't for the life of me figure out how no one can see the difference in these two cases.

 

I am not trying to defend those who were disparging to Bush in anyway. But I will not use the defense of "well they did it" to justify my own actions. :thumb:

I think you understand that my problem is the setting and scenario. I'm not trying to defend one over the other (frankly I would not react personally in either manner and believe me, during many years of SBC meetings in the 80's I wanted to shout out "You Lie" to more than a few who were speaking But I could not do that in Christian conscience).

This had little to nothing to do with anti government talk on tv or the radio. This guy was stripped, taped up and hung. This is more likely what many of you have said, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. There is more to this case that may or may not come out that will show just how sick these people are that killed him.
