October 1, 200917 yr Don't know if this is actually on the same subject as the Alabama Larry intended, but......one of my favorite bands is a band called Thrice. They're a secular band but the lead singer/songwriter (Dustin Kensrue) is a Christian. A few years back, he put out his first solo EP, there was a song on it called "I Believe", and I thought I'd share the lyrics with everyone. Seen your face in every child that smiles, but I can't help but rejoice. And I've heard what some called thunder, but I knew it was your voice. Touched the holes in your calloused hands, stuck my fingers in your side. oh I was six-feet-deep in doubt but now I'm sure that you're alive Chorus And it's safe to say we'll never know everything, still blessings we receive. And it’s safe to say I really don't know a thing, still I choose to believe. Smelt the scent of angel sweet floating in the summer air. I have breathed in deep the incense, while the saints send up their prayers. I have tasted now I see oh I see that you are good. And I have ate your perfect body, and I have drank your blessed blood Chorus And it's safe to say we'll never know everything, still blessings we receive. And it’s safe to say I really don't know a thing, still I choose to believe. And all the answers that I find, only take me so far down the line. The tracks always give out yeah it's a leap from the lions mouth. There's just something about those words that really resonate with me. We never really know EVERYTHING, especially lately for me....but I still choose to believe that God is still God! The CD is called "Please Come Home" and while it's only eight songs in length, they're eight great songs.....just in case anyone wanted to check it out. Later.
October 2, 200917 yr Author Bll your fine. "Behold I am coming soon. My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done". Christians will be judged differently than Non Christians buy Jesus Christ, and they all will be judged. The Bible is very clear and three different times we see the passage "Every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess Jesus is LORD" Twice in the NT.
October 5, 200917 yr Author Sheeps and Goats. Jesus talks about how the sheeps will be with him and the goats will depart from him. Just like humans, if you are not with Jesus you are away from him...
October 5, 200917 yr Author Here is a couple of quotes from Jesus Christ..."It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into Hell" "Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the Kingdom of heaven"...So where would you go? "So if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell". Seems like if someone goes to Hell. They also get Thrown in there".
October 5, 200917 yr Seems like if someone goes to Hell. They also get Thrown in there". I would venture to guess that very few go willingly and half the people try and plead there case after judgment has been rendered.
October 5, 200917 yr Author 721, I agree 100%. I just hope I don't see/hear anyone pleading their situation.
October 6, 200917 yr Author Preacher talked about Heaven/Hell last Sunday. I told him about this thread and he asked to see it, the song titles early that was misunderstood will be funny. He is a huge UK fan. Been at my Church about a year and every week he tells the people about the choices of being a believer/non believer....Heaven/Hell.....very few respond. There is a study being done on people responding to the altar call/Being Baptized and its way down as compared to other decades. Matthew 7:13..the pathway is narrow but the road is broad to the Gate, but only a few will enter.
October 6, 200917 yr 721, I agree 100%. I just hope I don't see/hear anyone pleading their situation. I don't think so, even though my interpretation of Revelations is far from main stream, I do believe that there will be no more tears in heaven. I can't imagine me not having tears if I had to hear this, so I would think that I won't see/hear it. Although, I will say I may have a greater understanding of judgment once I'm in heaven and after God's revelations to me I may be more understanding of God's justice. Although I truly believe God wants everyone to come to heaven, that's why I can't accept predestination.

Although I truly believe God wants everyone to come to heaven, that's why I can't accept predestination. Technically, I believe it says tears of sadness. Tears from being overwhelmed with pure joy from what we see and feel in Heaven, I would not find surprising.

Although I truly believe God wants everyone to come to heaven, that's why I can't accept predestination. Here is my view of predestination. The concept of time as linear is for our human minds to comprehend it. For God, time has no bearing. It is eternity, past, present and future at all times for God as He can be everywhere and anywhere at everytime and anytime. So, when we look at predestination and say that God knew what was going to happen before it happened, that's because we are looking at God in our human viewpoint. God knows what is going and did and will happen at everypoint in time because for God they are all happening at the same exact moment.
October 7, 200917 yr Author ^^^Thays why he is who he is...GOD Isaiah 55:8:9 "My ways are higher than your ways"
October 7, 200917 yr Author 1st Corinthians 5..."Now we know if Earth is destroyed we have a dwelling from God, a Heavenly Home. Eternal home not built by Human Hands." This talks about the body we have now which might last maybe 80 years compared to an Eternal body which will last...well Eternal. So as a Christian we are confident that we will be with the LORD. We live by Faith not by sight. We make this a goal to please the LORD, for we all must appear before the Judgement seat of Christ and recieve what is due, for things done in the Body, good and bad. Again more words on the Judgement and recieving rewards from Christ. Or non rewards, just Hell. This was all from the 5th chapter.
October 9, 200917 yr Author When Jesus left earth He went into Heaven...John 13:3/Acts 1:9:10/Ephesians 1:20:21. Heaven is a Place. And it is describe as being so beautiful that we couldn't even fathom its beauty. A man has a horrible car accident and is pronounced dead, as they wait for the offficals to show a another preacher arrives on the scene goes into the mangled car and actually feels a pulse as he is praying for the man. 90 minuts the so called dead man (a Preacher also) claims he was actually in Heaven. Was mad at God because he couldn't stay. Said it was too wonderful. He is still alive to this day and has a wife and two kids. Don Piper is his name and he has written a book about his ordeal and has been on several shows talking about his visit to heaven. Glad he didn't go and visit hell.
October 9, 200917 yr It is my feeling that Jesus wanted us to work to bring God's Kingdom to people NOW - not save them from some afterlife of torture. If you spend a great deal of time in Jesus' Teaching He talks about Bringing the good news to the poor, restoring sight to the blind, "Thy Kingdom Come on Earth as it is in Heavan." I think our biggest task is to show God's Love (that He shared through Jesus) to everyone by trying to do the things in Matthew 25 and Luke and that it is through the work that we do in Jesus' name and for the Kingdom that people will come to know Jesus. To me it is much, much more than saving people from Hell. There are those who are on this earth NOW who through no fault of their own are in a living Hell. How do we save them from that. Totally agree on carrying out Matthew 25 to the world--giving a cup of cold water in Christ's name to those who need it so desperately. Totally disagree that some people are in a living hell now. I'm not trying to ignore the fact that people in this world suffer--some hurt more than most & some to a terrible degree. But to call that a living hell is inaccurate, because God is active and attainable on this planet at all times. In the eternal hell, He is not. Which is why it is hell--God is permanently absent & unattainable. No one on this planet has ever known that kind of environment or feeling.
