I think Raceland keeps the pedal to the floor and carries on the momentum they got going from last week's win. This is another home game, Nicholas County isn't that good, and the Rams finally get to see Barr playing in a football game. From what I saw in the Boyd County game, the potential is there to have a very good passing game with Farley's ability. Add an explosive running back to that and Raceland will be pretty tough. I think they put some more of the pieces together this week, though, and beat Nicholas County 34-18.

Raceland 42-14.

Exactly. There were 2 passes on our first drive that could've been picked by East Carter defenders that were not. If they had have picked one, the complexion of the game may have been a lot different. So, to add to no stupid penalties, no turnovers!

Doc I think four passes total could have been picked over the course of the game. We really lucked out on those passes. I just want to say it one more time that the O line and D line played real tough vs East Carter. The D line was always in the EC backfield and plugging the holes. And the O line opened up some nice holes and gave our QB lots of time to pass.

You're right 68, the OL/DL put together a great game last week, they need to keep that up, everyone that knows anything about football knows that the lineplay will determine the outcome of almost every game.

Grant, Caudill, Johnson, Compton, Jobe, and Salyers are the keys to Raceland's success, and anyone that doesn't believe that better watch closer.

Looks like our DL and LB will get a good workout Friday night. NCHS has only threw 27 passes this season. With 5 of them being picked. And 0-12 one game. It looks like they have two solid backs that have racked up a bunch of yards. Maybe something like Fleming and Greenup. Just a smaller scale. And I hope it turns out a little better then the FC/GC games.

Nicholas Co. has been a smashmouth team for as long as I can remember. They line up and try to stuff it down your throats. This worked very well for them with the Reed boys in the backfield over those years. And they may only throw 4 times a game. But those throws can sometimes be big gains or even TDs. When a secondary sees run after run they get lazy on the pass. That's when Nicholas runs the play action, this can be very dangerous.

You forgot Luke!

Our defensive line play has been pretty good all year but the offensive line really picked it up the other night.

P.S.

No one has to ask or wonder about Barr anymore. I released Barr this morning.

And Bonzo.

We also have to hope Farley stays healthy.

Yes we do. Back up is only a Freshman.

Rister and Farley were injured at different times so we had experience coming in. Does anyone know where Jett Troxler and Rister transferred to?

Rister went to somewhere in Ohio, Ripley I believe. As for Troxler I do not know. Maybe back to Greenup with all the others.

Rister went to Ripley, OH. The school doesn't even have football. Jett Troxler is still at Raceland. As of last week he and his family said he loves it at Raceland and wants to stay in school here. He just didn't want to play football anymore.

I was shocked when I heard both were gone from the team, good luck to both young men. With Barr back and healthy, adding a good ground threat should take some heat off Farley......for the most part these teams have looked for the pass and could go after our QB. Reed is a soph., has he played much at QB in the past?
