If cooper was playing any other team. I would of enjoyed watching him, but since he was running against the juggs I wished he would of stayed home. This kid can move....

Lloyd senior Seth Chappie rushed for 70 yards rand three total touchdowns to lead Lloyd to the comeback win.

 

Down 35-21 in the fourth quarter, Lloyd outscored Cooper 15-0, capping the comeback off with a one-yard run by Chappie.

 

Instead of going for the tie,senior quarterback Dylan McGuire ran in the two-point conversion for the go ahead score. McGuire ended the day with 213 yards passing and two touchdowns.

 

Cooper was led by junior running back Dvontae Bradley who rushed for 239 yards and two touchdowns.

Wow I am shocked to see this score I thought Cooper would run all over them. I am glad Lloyd proved me wrong.

The fact is that Cooper got out coached! No reason in the world they should have lost that game after being up so much. Coach B. BLEW IT big time. Bradley is one heck of a runner, but he can not hold on to the ball. This has always been his problem. Cooper is going to get STOMPED by the 6A teams.

The biggest reason they will get beat so bad is because Borchers only focuses on #1, he has a talented crew but he just won't use them.

Maybe I didn't make it clear enough, Bradley is the #1 back... no doubt. I do however think running him constantly is stupid. He is what ALL teams are and will focus on. I know of 2 other backs on the team that can run very well (#14 & #28). They need to mix it up. Why did they come out with a 2 back split on the first series and the abandon it??? Copper has come a very long way from last year, but they did it as a TEAM... not as a 1 man show.

I guess then he has not be fumbling? I do agree that you can't stick with a one-man running back all the time, you can learn that from Boone County's many years of one-man show in that position. And, I do think Cooper plays as a team, Bradley certainly wouldn't be able to get all those yards without a great line and all that great blocking!

14 and 28 aren't near the ability of #1. Cooper has improved leaps and bounds from last year and should be commended for doing so. Without #1, and improved offensive line play, Cooper would be in the same boat there were last year. It can be a team effort and still hand the ball to one guy 30+ times a game. Just ask Boone Co., they've done it and won the district for several years running. #1 gives them the best chance to win, why wouldn't you put it in his hands that many times? They aren't far enough along as a program to do anything else. Patience.

Bradley is a great back ! I think that coach Borchers did a great job with using him he gives them a better chance to win!

Love the Game / Under the lights.,..... opinions respected very much. As you can read, you both commented differently on the BC 1 back scheme. Agree to disagree.

I didn't continue on the fumble comments because Im not here to bash #1. Thats not what this is about.

They are a better team, by leaps and bound. I am very proud of the boys and will be there every week cheering, win or loose. The coaching blew that game! Anyone who was there and knows football could see that. Lloyd adjusted at halftime (as good coaches and teams do) and this made a huge impact in the 2nd half. CB's playing 10+ yards off the ball... LB's not spread to cover the flats.I know the boys are playing where they are told to play. I saw one kid try to adjust on his own and he was yelled at. Last year was a learning experience, this year there is no excuse to make that many bad play calls and Def. play calls.

Anyway... lets see what next week at Ryle brings... I pray for a win, I hope for a good game, I suspect a bad beating.

I am sorry but I completely disagree with what you are saying. Honestly when you hear some of the stuff you are saying, it usually seems its because of a parent just not happy about his kid not getting enough playing time...

 

I mean seriously why would you not want to keep giving the ball to your stud runningback? I mean from the sounds of it, the offense has done pretty well this year and that has been because of giving the ball to him. I mean basically all team's who have a great runningback are going to keep giving to him. They are not going to not give it to him, just to mix it up some. I mean yeah what happens if they do hand it to the other runningbacks more and they get stuffed. You will hear people saying well why didn't u just give the ball to your stud? I mean this is just a horrible argument you are starting here and makes no sense at all. I really don't see why you would get on here and complain about that when the team scored 35 points. Then if your winning by a lot like they were, of coarse your going to keep running the ball, because you want the clock to keep moving. So this whole argmument makes no sense, if you whole argument would have been about the defense not doing well. Then that might have been something to talk about, but your argument about the offense, and how Coach Borchers runs it is way off base. Coach Borchers is running the offense the same as just any other good coach would.

My son plays D, so not really the case. I see your veteran status and yield to your knowledge. I don't like the play calling all around ( O and D ).

We all have opinions and I respect yours.

I just see a number of kids busting their butts and I wish they got more playing time. I'd love to see more passing plays too. They have a lot of good WR's on the team too.
