CovCath gets their first win in this game.

You cant blame the coaches for last year. There is so much they can do.. Leadership also is on the players too. The QB back had no leadership last year.

Yes I agree, 100 %. There is no doubt that Erpenbeck should’ve been the QB last year. But don’t forget, he got his 1st start against Louisville St.Xavier, Explain Coach B’s thinking on that one last year?

 

He started because Isler was hurt. Young wasn't getting the job done. Erpenbeck wasn't even Islers' backup. (although I do think he should have been). Regardless, I understand colonelnations' insistence on bringing up the past and constantly digging at my brother, but really it shouldn't be brought up. Ya'll should worry less about last year, and more about this year, seeing as they were 2-1 at this point...

That same team and coaches would be 0 – 3 and probably would have been blown out and show no signs of improvement as this team this year is showing every weak.

Alright, well I've got some homework to do as thrillng as this has been, BUT i'll leave you with this lol. You're totally correct, Zach had about 2 seconds every time he got the ball, but I still think they did okay at times. The team this year has struggled with their fair share of sacks as well. And their schedule was MUCH tougher last year, and by now they'd won over New Cath (who was good) and Dixie. I hope you're right and they do win over CCHS, but I also think you're underestimating CCHS and overestimating Lasalle.

Zach was not the problem. The defensive giving up 500 yards rushing per game was the problem.

No it's no problem at all, lol. YOUR comments aren't the ones I find immature or bothersome. I think you're right, and I like your enthusiasm for the new coaching staff.

I was just disappointed with how this senior class panned out. As freshmen I thought they would be pretty good. But your right, the Coaching staff wasn’t up to Par.

The last two years teams' had heart and more talent than this team, but they had no guidance or leadership through the coaching staff, and I'm sure you know how much that affects a teams overall play and demeanor. I'd be shocked if this team makes it to the 3rd round of playoffs, and a 5-5 schedule on top of that would indeed make Wirth in consideration for COY of the year consideration.

 

 

While I will agree with the talent was better last year, I am sorry to say that I am not so sure their hearts were in it and I am not at all blaming the kids for it!

 

Football is a game played with heart and when your heart isn't in the game, no matter how good you are, you won't be very good.

 

I think this years CovCath Crazies (student body) and how they are backing the team this year says a lot about the coaches and the players, by this time last year you couldn't find a student at a game be it at home or on the road.

 

They more than anyone, knew what was going on last year and they responded to it, by not attending the games! This year the number of Crazies attending the games have been impressive, and they have been cheering whether CovCath has been winning or losing.
