Anybody got anymore word on Carter and his availability to play this Friday? He would be a great addition to an already strong runnings back corp. Only problem is the line they have to run behind.

If the team can execute as well as the JV did yesterday in their win against Russell, Greenup will win this one hands down.

How will the team chemistry be with the addition of Carter (when he is eligible)? I mean, he hasn't been through the fire with the rest of the team and did line up in week one against them. Coming in and taking playing time away from some could cause some hard feelings. Just asking..........

At this point if he helps them win I think that will go a long way in squashing any problem such as those. He may have not been through the fire with them and he may step on some peoples toes but with a talent such as him you have to let him play and play right away. He is not a spoiled professional athlete who wanted to change teams, he is a young man that had some problems and had to move. Good luck to him and a speedy return to the field.

Will there be any race issues?? I mean anyone whos anyone knows he deserves a starting spot just because of his athletic ability and also due to Greenup's lack of athletes. I believe he rushed for over 200 yards 3 or more times last year and has started ever since his sophomore year at a bigger and better school. But for some reason I feel like Greenup will do the same thing to him that they did to Darrell Mahan. The school is ran by politics and everyone knows it. But i hope for the best for him and Greenup county.

We quit talking about this after Copley was hired, ther is nomore split, as is obvious with the new middle school team, and even in JFL, where at the end of the year we will be combining to play in tournaments. GC is a new place, with a new beginning. Get on board, and quit bringing up past issues.

The parents, fans and especially the boosters are committed to having the best team on the field. Alot of old wounds have been healed and with the combination of the McKell and Wurltand football teams the one team, one heart, one family spirit will only grow.

:thumb: A united GC is stong, People will see the diffence in the very near future.

I wish only the best for GC and I'm not trying to bring up past issues but doesnt it seem like every time a new coach comes along the same thing gets said. Sorry but Greenup county has been that way ever since '78 and I really dont see it changing but trust me I hope the best comes out of it. And also hope they dont put Carter on the OL like they did Mahan. Who was one of (if not THE best) QB in the area at the time he transfered.

And BTW GC has lost 2 games and I already hear people in the stands bad mouthing the coach and the staff. Those people are never satisfied. END OF DISCUSSION
