dawgs87 Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Looks to be an early season test for both teams. Game will be part of Corbin's Cumberland Falls Pigskin Classic Saturday @ 8:45 Corbin 27 Danville 21
Rebel88 Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I have to go with Corbin in a close one, mainly because their at home Good luck to both teams. Corbin 20 Danville 15
ADopted ADmiral Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Will a Mod add a poll please...Thanks... My heart wants the Ads to win this one,but My head is not so sure... I think this is going to be a game of Defense...The team with the best Defense wins this one...:thumb:
powerfootball Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 The team with the best Defense wins this one...:thumb: Corbin's run D better get it pulled together fast if this holds true. We allowed way to many big runs at Harlan, and we all no Harlan is no Danville.
WILDMAN Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Always good to see Corbin vs. Danville playing on the gridiron. It brings back memories of the old days. While this game may not have the implications of the games of the past, you can bet your rear end that Coach Jewell and Coach Harp will let the youngsters know what Corbin and Danville is all about. Two of the states most renowned programs squaring off in one of the states best bowls. I think Corbin may have the edge talent wise and with the homefield. However, those advantages won't be as big as one may think. Both teams will play hard and til the end. Just from reading on here, I think Corbin may play with a little more heart than the Ads. Corbin's speed is also an overlooked part of the game. Lots of people think Corbin, and associate it with 6'3 240 pound bruisers that will run over you. This day and age, Corbin has quite a bit of speed. I'm going with Corbin in this one but would not be surprised if this score is reversed. Corbin 33 Danville 22
Bubba Wilson Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Corbin's run D better get it pulled together fast if this holds true. We allowed way to many big runs at Harlan, and we all no Harlan is no Danville. Line play on both sides of the ball will need to get better for the Hounds to win this game. Seems they want their backers to make most of the plays and with the speed of Danville that might be a challenge. Look for Danville to load up with 8 or 9 in the box and dare the Hounds to put it in the air. Playing at home will no doubt help the Hounds this week. Fritts will be a gametime decision, but I look for him to play this week. Corbin 18 Danville 16 in a thriller with at least one big play called back via the penalty.

wideopen Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 If Fritts plays, Corbin will have just enough weapons to beat Danville.
