I mean may just be me, but a big ole Texan looking American dude clinching the bleached out hair of one of the biggest, ugliest Japaneese dudes and pounding his face for about four minutes straight, while the other guy does the same is pretty spectacular as well. Oh well, not everybody thinks a like. I just thought the start of that fight was one of the best ever, I mean who does that, or who has done that in a fight? That was nothing but bad blood and hatrid, and as Americans I cannot see how anyone can watch that and not want to give it a big USA-USA.

August 27, 200917 yr Chuck Liddel/Wanderlai Silva, I just wish that fight could have taken place a year or two earlier than it did, but it was still well worth the wait.
August 27, 200917 yr Even though he got crushed, it would be Franklin v. Silva II. I had trained w/ Rich in the summers of '98 and '99. I was conditioning for football, he was getting ready to realize a dream. He'd never fought in a MMA event before, and I personally thought that he was nuts. Fast Forward to '07, and just listening to the crowd at Cincinnati's First Star Center when he came out to fight for the World Championship in front of his home crowd had me so fired up that I was actually tearing up b/c I couldn't control the adrenaline. I can't imagine how he felt. That was pretty awesome. The fight was not so awesome.
