That must have been one exciting 11 minutes for LexCath and must have seemed like a never ending nightmare for Whitley.

I agree. I'm just sorry I missed it.

What happened to him?

Shoulder injury.

This was probably a great game to watch.

Whitley Co had a lot of guys cramping up in 3rd and 4th quarters and they don't play a lot of guys...22 and 34 were out there trying to run plays and couldn't bend their legs...until they can get more guys into the game, it's gonna be tough, but they're a game bunch...the 12-2 record is for real. We had some less than great plays in the first half that led to a significant deficit heading into the fourth quarter. I asked Coach Letton if he told the kids there was no fifth quarter, so they'd better get busy in the fourth. They did...but we're going to have to have more consistancy to deal with our schedule ahead...ok start though

You're right on, but we're only going to get better by playing teams like this. Hats off to Whitley County for a great game. I think Coach Letton will have us ready for Cov Cath next week, but I expect a good one as well.

20+ penalties for Whitley, that has to be some kind of a record.

Sounds like the Whitley offense is as stout as ever, they just need to find some kids who can play defense.

Its shame the Colonels couldn't close this one. All except 10 minutes they basically dominated the game.

If you remember in the predictions thread, I said something to the effect of you can dominate Lex Cath, and still get beaten with a few big strikes.

That is so true. The same was always said about Danville back in the 1980's and 90s. You just cannot take a single play off all game against Lexington Catholic or you will get beat.

And as others have mentioned, all of the penalties against Whitley County keeps giving Catholic more and more chances. That makes getting a win really difficult.

Anybody got any stats on the game? I am interested in how many yard Raglin had.

I did not think the loss of the starting QB slowed the Whitley offense as much as it could have....the radio guys said he stepped in and did a great job.

Greg Raglin carried the ball 24 times for 212 yards and 3 TDs, also caught a 17-yard TD pass from Nic Ward

Ward was 16-27 and threw for 181 yards and 2 TDs

Whitley County amassed 495 yards, with 394 coming on the ground. Josh Wynn and Cody Bramlett each had a TD run. Wynn ran for 136, Bramlett for 102.
