UFC 101 Declaration

Rumors are circulating that Forrest suffered a dislocated jaw early in the fight and loss of hearing in one ear.

That would explain the quick exit.

Big step up for GSP, But if anyone can stand with Silva, It's GSP..

GSP would have about as much of a chance as Griffin did.

This fight ended exactly the way I thought. For some reason, there's still people out there that doubt Anderson Silva. Maybe this fight will change that.

I know it's because of fan backlash. And I know that's the fight they originally wanted. I think I posted it here. I at least remember posting about it before...

Gold star for you. :thumb:

That's what happens when you get crazy idea in your camp that you can actually win against Anderson Silva.

Just sets yourself up for a letdown.

Don't forget your silver star. :p

So much for the broken jaw theory. Forrest Griffin is just a whining sore loser and he should be ashamed of himself after Saturday's performance.

Nothing new in that article from Forrest though. I'd like to hear from him what happened. The quote from Dana in that article came from the press conference after the fight.

That makes me think of Mario Kart where I can't unlock all the characters because I keep getting the silver cup instead of the gold in the Leaf Circuit. :D

Bad memories...frustration. I started to get up and run out of the house a la Forrest Griffin, but I realized I didn't have anywhere to go. I was already home. :isurrender:

A broken jaw would certainly be believable seeing as Silva used it as a punching bag.

Seriously though, did that KO while backpedaling remind anyone of the Ice Man. I know I've seen him do that several times. It's an amazing gift.

I've never seen the Iceman do it like that though.

Forrest got embarrassed. Nothing more, nothing less. I'm not sure if he's hurt or not (I doubt that he is) but I'd like to hear something from him.

Forrest is a whining baby when he doesn't get his way or things don't work out for him. He's also obviously not the brightest bulb on the lamp trying to stand toe to toe with Anderson Silva and expect to win. I don't need anything from Forrest to know that.

I'm new to the sport and several of my friends are huge Forrest fans. I saw nothing from him that makes me believe I should be.

I'm sorry, I didn't know you were close friends with him.

He obviously didn't handle the loss very well, but we haven't even heard his side of the story yet. I'll wait before I call him a "whining baby".

Go watch some of his other fights vs Shogun, Tito, Bonnar etc. He is very emotional and wants to win every fight and sometimes he doesn't handle losing all that well. He usually makes fun of himself after he comes back to earth.

Surprisingly he handled the loss to Rashad Evans very well last time he fought.
