August 6, 200917 yr But it is kind of true, take a look at some of the fastest players in the country: Taylor Mays, Jeffrey Demps, Chris Rainey, Deonte Thompson, Joe Haden, Jahvid Best, Jacquizz Rodgers, Robert Griffin, and Trindon Holliday. Notice a theme? None of those players are in the Big 10. The SEC is the premier conference in the country in terms of speed and it seems that everytime the top team from the Big 10 matches up with a top team in the SEC or Pac-10, the disparity in speed is extremely evident. Maybe Tressel has recruited some speed players at the skill positions and that will begin to change, but until then you're going to keep hearing "The SEC is all speed and the Big 10 is too slow." I think that explains it about as well as it can be said.
August 7, 200917 yr What? Do you mean that Pryor cannot pass?:sssh: If the Bucks can surround Pryor and Herron with some speed they may have a shot. 2008 STATS RATING YARDS TOUCHDOWNS INT COMPLETIONS ATTEMPTS COMPLETITION % 146.50 1,311 12 4 100 165 60.6 Terrible year for a freshman I guess? What do you think of the adding James Louis this past week the speed receiver who picked OSU of Miami ?
August 7, 200917 yr I hate OSU probably more than anyone on this site. But Pryor is one heck of an athlete guys. I hate to admit it, but he can do it all. Now as far as the love goes I agree! But why did they make several Natl Championship appearances just to get their tail handed to them? Like my avatar says 0-9 vs. Sec teams. Because Kent St. doesnt exactly get you ready for a bowl game. But now that I knocked them I have to praise as well. Jim Tressel is one of the winningest coaches out there right now. Not sure the exact numbers, but I know he's up there with Beamer, Mack Brown, and Pete Carrol for the top spot.

What do you think of the adding James Louis this past week the speed receiver who picked OSU of Miami ? Not bad stats. I just don't see how he gets the love over Griffin. Griffin had better stats with worse talent around him, in a better conference. 160/267 (60%), 2091 Yards, 15 TD, 3 Int. He ran for more yards as well. 173 Att. for 846 Yards, 13 TD. Also Russell Wilson was a better frosh QB than Pryor. He had 150/275, 1955 yards, 17 TD and only one pick. After sacks are factored in, he finished with around 400 yards rushing as well with 4 scores. As for James Louis, he is a great pickup for the Bucks. The Gators really dropped the ball on that one. Supposedly, he was all Gainesville until he realized that OSU was showing him more love. He'll be a nice addition for the Bucks.

He reminds me of Juice Williams, slipped under the radar a little. I don't think he had the same pressure and expectations as Pryor but he's a good QB. I actually think hes a better baseball player and I think he has a a shot at the minors and maybe MLB. You support NC State?

Wilson lit us up for 220 yards through the air with two TD's, and ran all over us though the stat book shows only 58 yards (sacks!!). I think it was Wilson who came from a baseball game to the NC State spring football game. Don't get me wrong, I really like Pryor as well. I just think he has alot more work to do than some of the other QB's in his class. I'm not saying he's not athletic, because the Texas game proved that if people hadn't already have known that. I think he handled himself really well last season, and he definitely had more pressure on him that any other true frosh in the country.
August 12, 200917 yr Some perspective on the whole Pryor 4.33 40 time. http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/blog/dr_saturday/post/Wake-me-when-Terrelle-Pryor-s-fake-40-time-eclip?urn=ncaaf,181904 He's fast, but for 40 yards is he faster than Usain Bolt? Something people have to remember is these college teams report 40 times that are far from accurate. A 4.33 is faster than a lot of NFL db's, on a QB scramble he would never be stopped in the Big 10, or most likely the rest of the country. He's quick, but he's not even close to Harvin or Maclin, and they don't touch 4.33. For instance here is UF's 40 times, http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/blog/dr_saturday/post/Fine-we-get-it-Florida-is-fast-There-s-no-nee?urn=ncaaf,147026. If you include Demps, who doesn't have a time listed on there, UF has 6 players last year who supposedly ran a time faster than anyone had recorded at the combine last year. Harvin's 4.28 turned into a more reasonable 4.41, and that is still faster than anything Pryor could come close to. Sorry for the rant, like I said, I kind of like Pryor, but the misinformation stuff is crazy.
