gold sunrise Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 What does McCreary Central need to do to improve in 2009/2010? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.
SouthernSportsFan Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 They should be at the top of the 12th. With West Jessamine getting a new coach and losing many key players, McCreary should be the favorite. They need to work on their defense because their offense is one of the best, not only in the 12th, but the state.

Raider Rob might just outscore most opponents and not worry about the defensive end of things this season. I know the Raiders are playing the Corbin Redhounds this season, so I look forward to that matchup. Two teams who like to put points on the board. Should be a dandy for us fans down here in the South Banker.

Freshman Tyson Williams should be in the 5 spot and should provide a good inside presence to go along with Raiders outside game. I'm looking forward to get started....
DreamLand Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 McCreary will have a war winning their district with Wayne County this year. McCreary should be the favorite for region, but dont count out some others.
coachi Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 "Their offense is one of the best IN THE STATE?" Come now...lets be realistic.
SouthernSportsFan Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 "Their offense is one of the best IN THE STATE?" Come now...lets be realistic. Statistically, yes. The past three years, they've been one of the better teams offensively in the state compared to their opponents.
SouthernSportsFan Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 McCreary will have a war winning their district with Wayne County this year. McCreary should be the favorite for region, but dont count out some others. That is true. One team may be leaps and bounds better than the other, but they always seem to have exciting, grinding games, with an occasionally large win. Southwestern also provides a tough challenge for both teams, but losing Woolridge will be tough for the Warriors.

SouthernSportsFan Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Play a tougher schedule and those stats go down.:thumb: That could be correct. However, their schedule was much improved last season with Jeffersontown and Lexington Catholic.
region12hoops Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Didn't Wayne beat the Raiders twice last season and return nearly everyone.
SouthernSportsFan Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Didn't Wayne beat the Raiders twice last season and return nearly everyone. I have no clue who they return, however, Wayne won both regular season games by a combined seven points, only to have the favor returned in the district championship losing by eleven, and being down by 18 with a minute remaining.
Jesse James Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Wayne returns almost everyone and I think they could have added a player or so. Dont sleep on Woods this year, if you do you will have a early exit.

Jesse James Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 They should yes. Crazy things sometimes happen in this district, especially with Southwestern in it, who both teams have problems with.
