Hey now!
Hey now!

It doesn't matter what you actually believe. So long as you don't agree with every word that I say and give congratulatory posts with multiple ":thumb:'s" to posts that reek of partisan negativity, then I have the right to call you whatever negative political insult, without regard for applicability, that I feel necessary. Capice?

Typical reaction. You took the bait.I didn't say anything like that ,did I. I said we are Americans that are still allowed to have our own opinion,at least for now.I'm talking about we conservative Americans watching what we see as the destuction of our beloved country. We are sickened by immoral liberal brainwashing and name calling and we are doing something about it.We call it communicating!Nothing personal, please continue I'll be back later.
I'm with you brother, and I have a hard time beleiving my fellow Americans can be so blind. All I hear from the Liberal crowd is this stuff about how straight thinking people like us are nuts, fools or ignorant. They don't realize that true Americans that love God and country may be thinking the same of them!Seems name calling is all they've got.Don't you beleive that liberal line about your only making things worse,or the word conspiracy thrown at us when we speak our mind. These are standard liberal combacks that are wearing thin.Liberal thinking got us into this mess.Liberal brainwashing is nearly complete.Conservative clear thinking Americans have made this country the greatest nation the world has ever known. This is proof that brainwashing can be done on a massive scale. Our founding fathers knew the potenial for this type of thinking thats why they gave us the right to bare arms!Keep up the good fight my freind, and God bless America! Back at you my misguided freinds.

Wouldn't the bolded be considered an Oxymoron?:D

You said that "not all people think like me" and then said "It's called being American." Since I don't think you know how I think, I'll tell you what I believe. I'm against abortion. I'm against gay marriage. I did not support any of the bailouts. I do not support any raise in taxes. I've never voted for or publicly supported a Democratic candidate in my life. I believe that we need to crack down on illegal immigration very, very much. The most "liberal" position that I have, an opposition to the death penalty, stems partly from my conservative religious beliefs. So, are you sick of my immoral liberal brainwashing and name calling? Are you one of the people that doesn't agree with me?

The fact is that you and I do not think alike. You may agree with my stated positions, but the difference is that I support those positions with arguments. You believe that the best way to promote your agenda is to criticize your opponent with inflammatory remarks and overused talking points.

I can tell you this. As someone who could hardly be considered a fan of President Obama, posts like this are NOT going to convince anyone to be like you. In fact, posts like this probably just motivate people to become more supportive of the President. Your adherence to inflaming talking points only motivates the other side.

Ouch!

As to the second statment, I'm more drained than amused and I'm not a fan of Obama.

FWIW....the posts now are not any different than they were before the election...neither the people posting them, nor the intent with which they are posting them. It's disheartening. But, not surprising.

And a second FWIW....I'm disappointed in several things of recent government/political headlines. But I'm not ready to throw in the towel. I'm a proud American who believes in trying to stay positive. Only one action in recent years has led me to take a vehement "opposition" to anything politically. I doubt this administration will be committing any actions of a similar nature, so I am willing to give it time and see where it's all going.

I disagree. I'm not a fan at all of Obama, but it has nothing to do w/ statements like that. I am appalled by his spending and other things. I could care less about his birth certificate. It gets to a point where the real issues are over shadowed by the insults. It's not humorous it's stupid.

This didn't turn out the way I wanted. Partly my fault for snapping at CCH. Sorry CCH.

Just what is it that so many are so upset about? I personally think there is a lot of truth in the article. I think he should have ommitted the scholar part, the "not a fan of this country" comment, and the part about Hillary. Other than that, I think the rest of the article is slanted but pretty much true. Is the truth bashing?

Obama is only 14% and some change into his presidency, did anyone think he'd make things better January 22? I'm not as learned on political issues as many of you that post on here, that's why I tend to read and not post here, but I think it's a little quick to judge Obama at this point.
