June 26, 200917 yr Twolves drafted 3 pure point guards, horrible waste of 2 top ten picks. Should have taken either Rubio or Flynn and then took Curry at 6. With a flashy PG, star Al Jefferson, athletic wings and Curry spotting up they would have had a pretty nice base. I honestly said though before Dicky V said it that: R.O.Y will be Steph Curry. He really fits Nellie-ball very well.
June 26, 200917 yr They are only allowed to pay 1.5 Million of it, he has to pay the rest. Rubio may not even come over or he may force a trade as he is really picky about where he's going to play. Still factors in to my theory as to why they drafted Flynn.
June 26, 200917 yr I wouldn't be surprised to see Rubio go to the Knicks. Either way, looks like the T-Wolves will have Al Jefferson, Kevin Love, Jonny Flynn, and Wayne Ellington, as well as whoever they get in return for Rubio (assuming they trade him) and 2 first round picks next year (their own and the Nuggets). I'd say they have a good draft....

I don't think he possesses a lot of value right now, and if there was a guy out there they would have rather had then they would have probably taken them. Main reason the Kings took Evans over Rubio was his buyout situation and the fact they wasn't sold on the fact of him being NBA ready right now or maybe even next year. I'm not sure too many teams do feel he's ready. Kind of goes back to the high school approach of drafting based on potential. In four-five years he may be premiere, but most teams value right now a lot more, thus Rubio's lack of prize value IMO. Once he gets out of his rookie deal he can sign somewhere else anyway, so who's going to use that roster spot and time just to bring him along for someone else. Thus I think he's the T' Wolves to keep, pamper, or to own.

I have a hard time seeing that Curry to Phoenix trade happening- way, way too many players to give up for what probably is a one year rental. Agreed on the Knicks- may have to be a sign-and-trade type deal, but I'm not sure that MINN would want David Lee or Nate Robinson. The T-Wolves need a 2 or a 3, IMO.

June 26, 200917 yr Jay Bilas on Tyreke Evans... He's a little bit ball-dominant, he needs to have the ball in his hands, and he's not a good shooter. He said that after saying he loved the pick. ESPN listed his weaknesses as... Can be selfish … over-dribbles … lacks consistent range on his jump shot … not a super explosive leaper … poor shot selection. I'm sorry, but he doesn't sound like a guy I want as my PG. And, certainly not deserving to be taken ahead of Rubio. Or Flynn, IMO.

If not, he will stay in Spain for at least one year. JMO
